Very nice, what did you do when flat ironing her hair?
Your friends hair looks great...and you are very good with the flat iron. I just bought my first one last week and haven't used it yet. Could you tell me the steps you took to get her hair like that with the flat iron. Like did she wash and blowdry before or air dry and what you used on it to get that degree of smoothness.

Yes she uses relaxers. And, it's no-lye. Soft&Beautiful (reg). She uses the whole line of Soft & Beautiful products, thats what I flatironed it with, the moisturizer. She uese the shampoo and conditioner.
As for a regime, she don't do anything special. She uses Vaseline to grease her scalp when it gets dry, always have. That's what her mom used to do her ponytails w/ when we where little. Not, Blue Magic like my mom loved so dear, LOL.
I relax her hair ever 2months or so, and I ALWAYS take it down to the ends, ay HER request. i tried telling her about overprocessing, and she's says " I've always had it done like that" so I comply. I remember posting this before, and some of instructed me to stop doing her hair, because if anything happen I would be blamed. Well, I don't think that will be the case, especially, when I got" I told you so" to hang over her.
Her motto is " If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it".
As for how, I got it so shiny and straight, I just made thin parts in a row, and flatironed it row by row. It takes me about, 40mins or so to do that. So I have alot of clips and stuff handy to keep her hair separated.
At her request, she didn't want any front pics of her face, but I wish you all could see how much she favors Adrienne.

Her is beautiful not only is it long but it is also thick (what I am striving for). She could be a commercial for buying flat irons. Mine broke the other day and I wasn't going to buy another. You two changed my mind.

Ur friends hair looks great, but I also noticed that ur hair made tremebdous progress since your underprocessed Feb. 8th pic. It has grown, and looks a whole lot healthier. Keep up the good work with you, and your friends hair.

Thanx LD for the compliment(sp?). I can tell now that I can look at it compared to the other pics, but I have a loooooong way to go before, I will be happy and satisfied. The good thing is I have'nt given up.

Your friend's hair sounds a lot like some of my family members. Thier hair can withstand things that would make a normal person's hair jump off their scalp and run for safety.
One of my cousins put a Wave Nouveau on top of a relaxer. She didn't like the Wave Nouveau so she blow dried and straightened it 3x-4x per week. I don't think she lost one hair.

I don't have no idea how her hair withstands it but it does. It's so thick that, I guess her hair can take it. Plus, it's really strong too. She be messing w/ me when I panick over a few shedded hairs and she be like" you'll have a heartattack if your hair shedded like mine". But, her hair can take it because it so thick and very very dense.
