I haven't been to the shop in years, I did go get a blow out last year but no trim or anything but I went to a salon one time. I heard all the attendees getting upset when this client came in the door. I didn't know much about hair and mean stylist back then so I just sat and was quiet well this woman came in with below your shoulders hair length and said she wanted a trim but she wanted them to put in her hand exactly what was cut off. they were making fun of her before she came in but since I couldn't figure out what the problem was I couldn't follow them until I heard her say put the hair you cut in my hand. I was like what the heck is wrong with her, she must be a mean something who wants the hair they cut, now I get it and its a very very good ideal. she didn't play when it came down to her hair. She said I am paying you and i want all the hair you cut from my head in my hand. Well after that I went and got my hair done I wasn't as brave as her but i wanted them to put the hair in my lap, I didn't know nothing so it didn't matter --they was chopping my hair up and I didn't get it all until now. I believed them when they said my hair was damaged. you pay for a service and they are to do exactly what you asked even if you have to demand they give you back your own hair its your hair you can do what you want with it. If you say 1/2 an inch then thats what it better be.
I won't even attempt to try to put myself out there like to have someone I'm not even sure they know what a trim or a S&D is, even touch my hair when it gets longer.
