Christa - Yah shes my homie... I know that deep down she was just looking out for me cuz she wants me to feel good about myself ya know? And we usually feel the best about ourselves when we look our best. So I know where she was coming from... its all love! Im gonna attempt to be cute tomorrow so I wont embarass her..

BMore - Im not gonna lie to you: for like 2.5 seconds after I read that email I was like Awwwwwww nawwwwww... Im gonna set it off!! But I thought about it and was like this is my girl, we look out for one another all the time and she was just tryin to do me a solid. She knows Im growing my hair but I havent really went too far into detail w/ her as far as my methods, etc. Oh and she emailed me cuz we both were @ work and thats how we comm. during the day..

Moni - Im like 100% that once I get my results everyone will eat their words. Aint nothing wrong w/ phony ponies!!!!

Jane - Yep like you said, let em talk. Then around May of 08 let em GAWK!!! That was so corny!!!

That's right girl!!! When I'm waistlength and these folx are still walking around with broken off chewed up hair they are gonna wish they had rocked phony ponies with me and taken care of their hair, LOL.

She sounds like she is concerned about you But just do what makes you feel good...There are other protective styles besides buns...

On another note, others get used to seeing us one way, so when we are making changes, whether, diet, exercise or hair, it does impact those around us...& they will either support our goals or criticize if they don't have goals for themselves.

But your friend seems to acknowledge that something is shifting with you...perhaps she'd be interested in haircare too.
