My French Mesh Roller Experience Pictorial!

I overnight DC with a mix of silicon mix, skala ceramides, skala fruit cocktail, roux porosity control and brahmi oil (brahmi powder and coconut oil).

Here's pics of my rollers. I used 18 blue rollers and 36 pins for this set

Here are my leave ins

I parted my hair ear to ear after detangling like this

Then I parted the front Mohawk style using the roller to measure the section like this

Pin placement! I'm still experimenting but when I get it down packed, I'll come back and update here.

I anchored the roller with 2 pins. One on each side. Be careful not to pin too close to the edge of roller because the mesh is on the inside and outside of the edges so it will make pin placement HARD!

Here's my set. I had issues with the sides so I just used 2 instead of 3 on each side

And here's my hair after less than 40 minutes under the dryer! I usually have to sit 85-90 minutes with magnetic rollers

I pincurled my curls and tied up in a scarf

I'll be back tomorrow to post finished look.

I can do a magnetic roller se in 20 minutes cause I been setting my own hair since I was a teen. I will continue to practice with these mean rollers so I can be a pro at these too.

Hope this helps someone.

you did a great job girlie! :) nice shine and very smooth. i may have to invest in some of these rollers in the future. where did you purchase them from? the local beauty supply?

You did an awesome job! Thanks for sharing! Do you mind me asking how you like the Lottabody foam wrap? Recently, a stylist that I went to used the blue lottabody setting lotion and my hair felt extremely dry/hard and the set was not as firm as I am use to.

Thanks in advance for your response,
tishee

morehairplease you have to use the LB foam wrap sparingly. If you use too much it will be hard and sticky.

Ok ok. I'll take down my hair do a light dusting and will be back with pics. Stay tuned! Peer pressure

I can't roller set my hair for the life of me (well when I had hair) this looks so nice and ur hair is super healthy.

Thanks for all the love ladies!

I took down my pin curls and dusted each section, finger combed and got the hubby to take more pics

I have so much body and swang! I love the way my grown out layers look cause when bone straight my hair looks skimpy.

Here the back

LOL! I don't even feel like pin curling my hair back. See what y'all did? J/K my pleasure. If it acts right tomorrow I'll be back with more pics. Otherwise, you know the rest.

You did a GREAT job.

I used mesh rollers a long time ago and it was a hot mess (air dried). I could not get the hang of the pin placement. I also was not using setting lotion at the time so my curls fell pretty fast. I ended up pin curling as well. I tried to use them again when I bought my hood dryer and I did dry in 25 minutes or so but I still never did get the hang of the pin placement so I gave up on the mesh rollers.

I do still own them but my hair is fully natural now so I would not even attempt to use mesh rollers.

Great results!!!

Your hair looks really pretty - lots of fullness.

You should place the pins at the top in the other direction to get a nice, taut grip. Also they should go through the center of the roller/hair.

I really like your results. I have some mesh rollers but my results did not turn out as good as yours. I may have to revisit them.

Your hair is gorgeous! My 2012 challenge will be give myself good rollersets in the hopes my hair will look close to yours!

thanks for sharing

Thanks y'all!

Here is Day 3 hair. I didn't pin curl last night I just put it in a bun like this and tied with my scarf

And here it is right after I took the bun out. That's my niece twists next to me. LOL! She was on my lap as usual.

I love my results still. I sweated alot on day 2 and just did that bun to sleep in and my hair still has a little curl and alot of bounce and swang.

lonei here is my experience with the blue mesh rollers. I used a table top ion dryer and it still dried fast!

I want a salons r us dryer and if it can cut the time shorter I'll be elated.

I want to get into rollersetting, so far curlformers is the closet I've gotten. :( I think my mom has some french rollers from back in the day around here. Hope she's got enough for my hair.

I want to roller set too! All these pretty sets. I want to try curlformers and flexirods. I sucked at the magnetic rollers while relaxed. I'm sure nothings changed.
