:ohwell: Is this just one of the ways natural 4a/b hair can look? The rest of my new growth doesn't look like this. (When I say "edges" I'm talking about the tuft of hair near either temple not the whole perimeter of my head).

When I say dusty, I mean it looks almost grey-ish when I'm looking at it in the mirror; like it has dirt on it or something :ohwell:. I washed my hair over the weekend and that didn't eliminate the dusty appearance.

Sorry, I tried taking pictures but my digital camera laughed at me. It said "You get what you pay for and you didn't pay for close ups!".

Hrm.

When's the last time you clarified your hair? I'd suspect it's buildup from facial products. :yep:

I'm afraid to clarify because every single time I've used a clarifying shampoo while having a substantial amount of new growth my hair mats and tangles out of this world!!!!

I wonder if I could just clarify the "dusty section" and cover the rest of my hair :scratchch

Sounds like a good idea to me. Go for it.
