My DD was doing the same...playing in my hair and saying she wanted hers like mine(straight). I told her that I wanted mine like hers(natural/curly)..so I began my transition :)

Beautiful story. Your DD's hair is amazing. I think she may be my hair twin.
My last relaxer was 11/08 along with DD(12). I just BC'd on 2/13/10. DD will BC this summer a few months after her 13th bday. I give her a mini chop every month. She said she is ready.

Although I decided to go natural before I got pregnant, I love being natural now as the mother of a baby girl. And even though I know its my hair to do with what I please, I feel like I want to stay natural as a testament to being beautiful, black, and natural for her. Congrats to you and your daughter.

Going against the norm at such a young age can be a hard thing to do.Good for her:yep:
I was natural at 13 when everyone else had a relaxer,so i wore mine pressed straight most of the time.I wish i had someone to do for me what you're doing for your baby:yep:!!I didn't know natural hair could do all of this back then. High five mom and dd!!
 
Your daughter is so beautiful, I love her hair! She's lucky her mom is so good with her hair, too. ;)
