My Childhood Crush Is A Hotep *insert Cry Emoji*

I'm back home for a few days and last night I saw my childhood crush. I was excited because I haven't seen him in forever and used to always think he was so cute.

So the first thing I noticed when he walks in is that it looks like he has freaking extensions. His hair is braided with additional hair.

The next thing I noticed when he smiles is HE'S MISSING THREE FRONT TEETH

So after we caught up on old times for a while he starts up the hotepery. Among other things I learned:

* books can't be trusted because men write them and the truth can be altered. only images tell the truth
*9/11 is fake. It was all CGI
*swine is killing everyone
*black women don't support black men
*women are the reason homosexuality is so widely accepted
*therapy is a farce
*a real man wouldn't allow his son to be gay
*the earth is flat and he's doing the research now to prove it
*the moon is not a solid mass
*the first moon walk was fabricated
*religion is just used to control the masses
*no one can truly define a word and he'll prove it
*AIDS was made in a lab
*most women are liars
*don't call him black. that's factually inaccurate. he's a human american
*salt & sugar are worse for you than crack

Y'all, he was so preachy. Like one of those dudes who just got out of jail and now knows everything about everything. Plus he gets super hype and loud and emotional. Talking to him is a chore. I just listened and nodded a lot.

The fantasy has been destroyed.

Thankfully, he was a crush and not a husband. You dodged a bullet!

Chile.....I would have been done time I saw his toothfuses was gone. Nah we out, like nice seeing you but that alone:auto:
What a (fill in the blank)
But the 9/11 thing got me heated. I'm sorry who says that. I live in NYC where my best friend witnessed people jumping to their death from the WTC and you smell the towers burning that was real, he a dummy.

I was going from everything on the list lol. Reminded me of some crazy rastas I knew back in the day.
Probably... But he isn't alone cuz some of those in the list have whole websites dedicated to those very beliefs, like the ones about the moon walk hoax, AIDS, flat earth and the one about religion, there are many who believe that, even those they may believe in God.

..

The title of this thread cracks me up every time I see it. I first heard the word hotep from this forum because I'm on the west coast, and I've never heard anyone use that term here. But in the last 6 months, they've made their way to the Bay Area Peninsula and it is one of the most off-putting experiences. I'm so glad you all prepared me in advance. You have before you what seems like a rational, thoughtful, intelligent black man and then out of nowhere just utter nonsense mixed with fanatical conviction. It does seem like a mental health issue. But I did talk to one of my friends who's Afghani about one of my encounters and he explained that men in their twenties, in particular, are looking for something to fight for. I thought that was interesting.

It’s interesting that he says black women don’t support black men but he also doesn’t want to be called black.

I also really don’t get what the benefit would be of making up an entity like the moon. It’s so far away we can’t even get to it. Why would it be made up?

Great point about the Black part! I didn't even catch that (maybe cuz I was too busy rolling my eyes).

Regarding the moon: It is not that these people are saying it does not exist, but rather that the astronauts never landed on it during the famous moon walk of the 60s, that it was staged. They mention the reflection of stage lights and the movement of the flag looking like it is blowing in the wind.

I don't understand how believing the earth is flat helps them either. They need to get upset about something useful that will help black people instead.
