Ok, I'm finally getting around to posting this thing. I've been doing this set for like 10 years. If you're pressed for time it's ideal but results may vary, lol. This one came out good for me (no direct heat used) but sometimes I have to tweak the final result, lol. Anyway, I do this when I want the look of a roller set but i'm pressed for time because this way is very fast and takes little effort to do. I think I will start doing this all the time because I'm lazy.

The set looks like this......

Results (It's a little bushy but it'll calm down in a few days. I like it big anyway)..............

Sometimes the part where the ponytail is, is still damp when everything else is dry so I just take it down and put my hair in a ponytail and tie a scarf on and let it air-dry.

looks nice...

A technique close to the one proposed by Pokahontas was frequently used in France during years 70. The name was mise en plis mexicaine, which means mexican rollerset.
The top part of the hair was rolled up on 4 rollers (instead of 8 in Pokanhontas pic) 2 inches diameter (same as my blue mesh rollers), the rest of the hair was combed around the head (using the head as a big roller) turning clockwise. After some time, when partially dry, the hair which had been combed clockwise was recombed in the opposite direction (anticlockwise) around the head (the 4 rollers on top of the head were not changed at that time). Once fully dry, the 4 rollers were unwound too. This produced a nice ultrastraight hair. The drying time was pretty long, you could dry in the hair or under the hood or even keep it at night.
I do not know where I could find a drawing
