Hun - your hair looks wonderful. A true example of what time, care and patience can do.

Thanks for posting...

Thanks guys, yall making me feel all warm and fuzzy...:reddancer:

I was feeling a little down when I made this thread, but now I feel better!

Keep positive. I had the same issue of doing to much. I put ORS relaxer on my newly natural SL (I had grown put the permed hair over 1 1/2 years---it basically broke off) hair then, 3 months later I put Just For Me over the entire length. I continued to tex-lax and I had blonde hi-lites, then I grew out the hair and then texlaxed again then had my hair hi-lighted this spring. I praise GOD that my hair survived. I began my natural journey. I will love my hair. Whether you chose to stayed permed or transition, maintain the health, moisture, moisture, moisture, and protect. This go round, my hair is retaining and I am transitioning well. You can do it! Also, your hair looks great, it is so thick, and it seems to grow well, that damage will have grown out before you know it:)

I love your Bob. You hair looks beautiful in pic showing a blow dry style. Just parlay and let you hair do its thing. Sometimes, we do too much too soon and do not allow the hair to breathe.

Just gorgeous! I especially love your hair in the green shirt, you must share how you accomplished it.

Thank you!

I get more questions about that style than any other, but I loved it too.

Basically I rolled my whole head up on tan magnetic rollers like this (I use smaller rollers in the back:

When I first take the rollers out it looks like this (excuse the dry lips):

After a few days the curls drop into loose wavy curls like this (well something like this, me and SO got a lil crazy the night before so the curls got smashed a little:look:)

But you get the point. The pic in the green shirt was after the 3 day and no curls were smashed. I just finger comb the curls daily and put on a bonnet at night. I added a little oil sheen that day because we were out of town and I needed a quick shine boost.

Hope this helps!

I love posts like this - I love to read about a person's hair jouney (both good and bad). We all can either relate, offer advice/encouragement and or just listen. Thanks for sharing.

You have a lot to be proud of. Even after your setbacks - you hair is still growing. That's great. And at this point, you can know with certainity what things work for your hair and what things don't. Sometimes it's the only way we truly can now, by experience.

Good look in 2010, I'm sure you'll have success. I look forward to seeing and reading about the success. Please continue to share. I can't wait to get my camera so that I can share my experiences.
