Ok, so I have definitely decided to flat iron tomorrow but i need tips....

This is what i'm going to do
1)Shampoo with CHI Infra Heat Poo
2) Condition with CHI Infra Heat Treatment
3)Deep condition with ORS replenishing pak +honey+castor oil+avocado oil with heat
4)Detangle hair with a blob of tresemme conditioner, CHI silk infusion and my l'oreal
hot straight creme with my widetooth comb
5) blowdry in scetions with my vent brush
6) flat-iron with the comb-chase method (im siht at this)


Anything I have missed out or could do better. This is my first REAL time straightening my natural hair...

Oh and I'm scared my hair will be crunchy without it's castor oil fix, is there no way to flat iron with oil.....EVER????

You pretty thing! Great progress! Can't wait for the flat iron pics. Sorry I don't have any advice about flat ironing, but you seem to have all the right steps. Hopefully the flat ironing experts will chime in.

As far as the flat iron, although it's tempting don't be too heavy handed with the products or your hair might be a little greasy, just make sure to distribute it well throughout your hair. And since you will be using heat add a hot washcloth under your plastic cap so you'll have a little steam with your dc (bootleg but it works for me).

Ok, i flat ironed and my hair is collarbone length!!!
The pics are on my friends camera, i will get them when i get my SD card back. The flat iron job wasnt the best (in fact it kinda looks like a semi-sleek blowout LOL) and i miss my curls already, cant wait to wash! But it made me really happy about the progress I have made!

I didn't really transition- I missed my 3 moth touch up date and just decided not to go. So I just cut my hair off lol
So you could say I transitioned for 12 weeks lol
