Must-have Sally Products

Y'all are making me want to get this tangle teezer. To think I just bought a denman too.
OT: Anybody used both the denman and the teezer? Is the teezer better?

Today is the big day! So i'm definitely getting this tangle teezer! You ladies talked me into it. I think i must def. get some argan oil, aphogee, and roux porosity control.

Not exactly sure how to use the porosity control though.

Keep the suggestions coming ladies!

Have fun!!

Porosity control is helpful if you have problems with porosity (i.e. your hair dries too quickly or it drys too slowly). Its also excellent for people who use chemical services (relaxers or color). Before I started using it, my hair used to dry in 15 minutes or less (and thus had a hard time retaining moisture).

This sounds interesting. What does it do?

  • Compare to: Redken Extreme Anti-Snap
  • Fortifies the damaged areas of the hair
  • Helps reduce breakage and split ends
  • Leaves hair looking healthy, manageable and shiny
  • Hair feels stronger with increased shine
GVP Leave-In Treatment fortifies the damaged areas of your hair helping to reduce breakage and split ends. Leaves hair looking healthy, manageable and shiny.

GVP Leave-In Treatment reduces breakage leaving hair healthy and shiny. Compare to Redken Extreme Anti-Snap and save!

it's a keeper =) the smell is nice too.

Tangle Teezer
GVP Moisturizing Shampoo (Compare to Nexxus Therappe)
GVP Moisturizing Conditioner (Compare to Mexxus Humectress)
Proclaim Argan Oil Hair Oil Treatment
Roux Fermodyl 619 for curly hair

I have tried both and the Tangle Teezer wins hands down. It only takes me 10 minutes to completely detangle my entire head with the Tangle Teezer. With the Denman it would take at least 30 minutes And I only have a few shed hairs in the Tangle Teezer compared to the Denman.

First let me say this thread is a nuisance to all recovering PJs. The last thing I need is a reason to drive to Sallys (1.5 miles away) to purchase more stuff when I haven't used up my personal BSS stash in my storage area at home.:nono: OK - now that I'm done ranting I'll respond...

I've used both and the denman seems to do a better job of defining my coils/curls however I lose a lot of hair in the process. My hair ends up being smooth and coily/curly. I modified the denman by taking every other row out but it is definitely not painless. The tangle teezer is great for those of us who are tender-headed. It removes shed hair quickly and on a scale of (low)1-10 (stop, that hurts) when rating pain I'd say its an average of 1.

I have a $5 credit I need to use at Sallys' next month, so I thought about getting more Silk Elements Megasilk conditioner, but I guess I'll try Hair One or something I don't already have.
I like this stuff a lot. Its on sale this month so I bought 2 more - now I have about 6 unopened jars at home to add to my other DCs. :ohwell: It was suggested by WestNDNBeauty (I think) to leave in overnight as a prep before flat ironing. I don't flatiron often or very well but I like using it. :yep:

Off to subscribe - darn you and your gift certificate OP!

Girl, I am so sorry! Didn't mean to make the PJ in you come out. The funny thing is I was never a PJ... until now! I think this thread has awoken the PJ monster in me that I didn't even know existed!

I really like the Mixed Silk DC.

I was thinking about getting this and the leave-in too. Is the leave- in any good?

I also think I want to get Sally's GVP version of Nexxus Humectress.

And I think I need a heat protectant too for the rare times I use the flat iron.

And I need to get some plastic caps for DC's

Denman and tangle teezer for easy comparison...

Hair one

new bonnet

butterfly clips or clamps

Aphogee 2 step

silk elements

anti-snap

argan oil

hot six oil

And ummm....

Damn you all really did just turn me into a PJ. Thank god for this gift card!

Five hours and counting until my highly anticipated Sally's trip!

My fave Sally's buys are:

*Tangle Teezer
*Aphogee Protein Treatment (the heavy duty one) + the Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer to use afterwards
*Aphogee Green Tea and Keratin Spray
*Biotera Styling Gel (one of my staple hair gels!)
*China Glaze nail polishes

BTW, check their flyer for sales. The ApHogee 2 step is on sale - buy step 1 (protein) and get step 2 (condish) free. You can get more than one freebie.

The Eco Styler gels are also on sale for $2.99 for a pretty sizeable tub. If you join the Sally's club for $5, you get a coupon for $5 off your next purchase (as soon as the next day). When I connected the card to my online account, I also got free shipping on my next online order. That worked out well, since I wanted to place a small order last month (it's free for orders of $50 and above).

I suggest checking out their flyer online, so you can plan your attack!

^^^ I already got my beauty club card. As a matter of fact, i will be using the $5 coupon during my spree today.

I completely forgot about checking their flyer though. I didn't know it was online. I def. gotta look that up in the next hour and half.

Ver excited that the aphogee is on sale though. I will be taking advantage of that!

^^^ I'm about to go off to my dance class now I just had to thank you all and let you know that the tangle teezer really is amazing! Thanks so much for recommending it all.

I"ll be back later to let you know about my other purchases. :)
