Does of you who are taking MSM, have you noticed any change in your skin?

I have!!! I was standing in front of the mirror and i noticed my skin looked perfect and smooth. It looked airbrushed and perfect. I was like  looking at myself in the mirro for like 30 minutes. My skin feels smooth as well. Am i the only one experiening this? anyone noticed any other changes?

Oh Yeah!!!

This is one of the best benefits of MSM. You can see your skin looking so youthful and healthy.

My skin has tightened!

Even places other than my face!

I love that stuff!

Even though it's nasty as all get-out!!!

How long after you began taking MSM did it take to see the nicer skin? I've been taking it for about a week.:D

I noticed that my skin has gotten much better but not perfect yet... It's getting there.

Nadine what brand and dosage of msm do you use? after i finish this bottle i might switch to your brand!!!

My most impressive change has been the rapid improvement of an old scar. It hasn't done anything for my acne though...

I take GNC MSM i only take 1000mg per day. I should be taking 2000mg cause i have no problem with the dosage. I just forget to take my second MSM pill.

Not really. When I was taking the MSM I was still breaking out, but the same time still eating tons of sugary foods and not drinking enough water. So, I just decided to take someoneelses advice (Divine Inspiration), and my skin is looking great. Cutting out/cutting back on sugar, drinking tons of water, and eating fruit regularly has helped me soooooo much. I'm glad I don't have to depend on MSM for the rest of my life. Thanx DI!

I wouldn't say my skin is perfect, BUT it is TIGHT and very smooth!! Also, I had a lot of scarring from spots (I have acne-prone skin) and it has faded them out a lot!!! And I look fresh! But maybe that's because of the water?

My skin does look better but what really is fantastic is it used to take a whole year for me to get over my tans. I was so annoying. In the dead of winter i'd still have my sandal markings on my feet.

I have a lot of old acne scars and just scars and I noticed them fading.

I have noticed a change in my skin as well. It doesn't feel dry and my face is really smooth. I didn't really start paying attention until hairdresser was shocked that I didn't have any foundation on.

I just starting noticing!!

I had been taking MSM for months and NOTHING! I switch to the crystals and WOW! My skin looks great!

Now that ya mention it  I have noticed a change. My skin looks a lot better. However, I broke out in hive a couple of weeks ago, (I think it was the biotin) ... I know that's another thread....SO I stoped taking everything and lowered my doses. Now I'm taking 1000 or 2000 mg of MSM when I can remember to take the second pill.

I know this has been asked before BUT I would like to know what is the best MSM brand to buy in pill form. I really would like to try the powder form but I know I will not stick with it. The reason why I am sticking to my vitamins EVERYDAY because I wanted to see if they will grow my hair so I have been taking them EVERYDAY for the past 6 months BUT I know I will not take the MSM in powder form...I just know it...please tell me theMSM brand to buy in pill form that's very potent:)

TIA,
Tanya

Not sure how potent it is... but I take MSM 1000 its a GNC brand. I like it because I can take it with my other pills too:)

Hm, when I was taking MSM, it kept making me get these random pimples. I'm assuming it was the MSM because they started popping up about a month after I began using it. And I stopped having the problem when I decided to just stop taking MSM. I have heard that the problem of pimples was solved by some women who started taking the powder form rather than the pills. I'm glad you're actually seeing some nice facial results! :o

What crystals, HoneyDew? I've been taking it in pill form for a few weeks.

You're welcome chica! Few people realize how easy it really is to get their skin under control without ever seeing a doctor. I'm glad my suggestions worked for you. :)

As far as MSM goes, I take it for a number of reasons, but it does keep me looking exceptionally young. I get carded EVERYWHERE, and I was accused of using a fake ID a couple of months ago.

MSM keeps my seasonal allergies under control, and it keeps my muscles from aching. On top of that, any scars and bruises heal quickly. I'm not sure if it's making my hair grow any faster, but it's definitely loosened the curl pattern which I like. So, I've gotten a lot of benefits from MSM and I'll continue to use it because without it, I'd probably be taking 4 prescription meds for random things. :nono:

ETA: BTW, there's a HUGE thread on this over on the Skin Care forum. Check it out!

I have been usign these:
https://jacoblab.com/OrderMSMCrystals.html

They are so expensive, though. I am not sure I will rebuy because of the price. I think I am going to this next:
http://wateroz.jeffotto.com/products/sulfur.htm but I am not sure if it is MSM of not. I assume it is.

I am going to do a search for a good price and give it a try.

Other than that some other ladies had posted some good site to get MSM crystals that has better prices.

Skin is great but it has not been bad for a long time since increasing water to 2 liters at least daily, now I have a nice translucent glow also. First brand was TRIMEDICA PURE 1,000mg [crystals] per 1/4 teaspoon. Present brand is SOURCE NATURALS 1/2 TEASPOON=2.6grams. I prefer the SOURCE which is a fine grain powder, better price also from VITACOST.

MSM has been great for my skin but I'm still trying to get over the headaches. I think I might be trying to do too much too soon.

I have to agree that MSM has been very good for my skin. My skin has a glow and it is much clearer than usual.

My mom toldme the same thing you mentioned. She said that my skin has a glow and that my skin tone is radiant. She mentioned that looked rested...Im suspected that my skin got tighter which is why she thinks im rested. Oh and i have dark circles fading.

I wonder if it makes strech marks fade away. Anyone knows?

MSM improves my skin as well. I don't generally have a lot of breakouts anyway, but when I take MSM I get that smooth glow that others have mentioned.
Over the years I've tried Doctor's Best in pill form (Lignisul), Source Naturals powder (OptiMSM), Source Naturals Skin Eternal Plus supplement (pills, OptiMSM), and Solgar's Skin, Hair and Nail supplement (It was Lignisul when I took it, but I could swear I've seen a version with OptiMSM). I noticed a difference with all, but my system seems to respond the fastest to Lignisul formulas.

I've been taking MSM since June and I've never experienced any of the side effects, and I also haven't really noticed any skin changes. I usually take 3600 mg a day and I'm using the NOW brand. I've been thinking that maybe I should switch brands...

I've noticed a change.

I have had problem skin for quite a few years and only Proactive helped me. I still had occasional flare-ups and dark scars. However, the past week I noticed my skin was brighter, clearer and my old acne spots were fading. I am impressed. I've only had 1 (albeit huge) zit and it was a doozy and that occured when I started MSM, but it has healed and is fading away to nothing.

I have been taking MSM (LifeTime Lignisul) 1000-2000 mg per day since October 15. I also take 2000 mg of Vitamin C as well. I have read that MSM and vitamin C are synergistic. I take the following daily vits:

Oil of Olay Beautiful Skin and Wellness formula
Oil of Evening Primrose Oil
Omega-3
Vitamin E

I would like to blame MSM for the new pimples I got from not drinking enough water and the nice new nails I am growing. My nails on my right hand are 2x longer than my left hand. i havent had nails in years. They used to be very weak and would break. I purchased the powder from Ebay and I mix it with country time lemonade. More lemonade than MSM to mask the taste. Afterwards I have to drink lots of water because i get sooo thirsty... My other half has also been drinking it to help with his 30+ arthritis. He says he cant feel the pain as much as before...
