Movie: War Room

Supergirl

With Love & Silk
Go see it sisters! Go today, now. It's opening weekend. Sow a seed into the film and show the world that we followers of Christ are a powerful bunch economically. You will not be disappointed with the movie, and there is nothing like sitting in a movie theater packed with Christians of all ethnicities and backgrounds cheering, clapping, and witnessing during a movie. There's just nothing like it.

THANK YOU! :yep:

I saw it today!. It was an excellent movie IMO. I thought I would be bored but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It reminded me of what my priorities are and how important Prayer is in our daily life!! There is a spiritual war and many of us have felt defeated, discouraged, lost faith in our lives but I felt rejuvenated watching this movie. Reminds me of the fire I had as a new Christian and how I would dedicate an hour to prayer, praise and studying the word. I really do need to return to that!!

I agree with this. It lit such a fire on me, I went a got the book Fervent. I needed a fire lit under me.

I really want to see this movie, but unfortunately its not being shown where I live (I don't live in the U.S.)

@Loving - Hopefully it will be out on DVD soon! If you like them on FB I'm sure they will announce it on there.
I don't believe the theaters expected the movie to perform so well!

After seeing the movie, my DH grabbed my hands as we stood in the living room, and asked The Lord to make him a better husband and for us to love each other as we should until we are parted by death.:cry3::cry3::cry3:

As of now, this movie really convicted me that I must bump up my prayer life and to seek The Master even more.

At this time, this is my favorite movie. We're going to see it again tomorrow after church and can't wait to purchase the DVD when it is released.

Please go to see this movie.

I am reading the book. It is very good. Can't wait to see how it translate in the movie.

I didn't know there was a book available.

Praise God the movie is STILL in the theaters. Initially the company couldn't even promise that it would last more than one weekend - look at God!

I watched it last week it's out on demand and dvd it's a really good story and great points on prayer.
^^ I will re watch and take notes too good idea.

I recommend the book Fervent. It was written to accompany the movie. Priscilla Shirer breaks down some basic strategies for praying the way the characters in War Room prayed. There wasn't anything profound in Fervent but it was a good starting place and I have been enjoying my prayer time using the prayer techniques described in the book.

I have not yet seen this movie, in fact it has been a couple of years since I have been to the movies, but my church will be showing it this coming friday at 7pm and I'm going to see it then. Can't wait. I heard nothing but great things about it.
