Hi all:

I tried to do a search on this and couldn’t find anything.

What do you all use to moisturize your hair in between presses/flat ironing? The reason I ask is because we obviously can’t use anything water based since it will cause our hair to revert. So, what else out there could you recommend for me to use? (I have 4a/b hair)

If you could help me out, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

I recently flatironed my hair and wore it for 2 weeks only having to touch it up once. Every night before I would go to bed, I would smooth some B&B hair and scalp treatment (hair grease) on my hair and especially the ends. I would then pull it back like I was going to make a ponytail, twist the hair, then secure it to my head with bobby pins, and tie it down with a silk scarf (hope you can get a mental picture of that). In the morning, I'd take it down, smooth a little more on and my hair was frizz free and held up really well. You're right about not being able to use anything with water in it, as it would frizz up.
