Mizani Butter Blends Perm

I guess this post is more of a review. I tried Mizani Butter Blends this weekend and I think this is the best perm I've ever used and I've been perming my hair for 18 years. It left my hair very soft, no chemical smell, and it wasn't harsh to my ends at all. I noticed when I was applying the perm that it had consistency of semi-hard cocoa butter. I was thinking of trying the phyto perm, but I think I'm sticking with Butter Blends. It's really good.

I forgot one last thing, I didn't burn. It's amazing !!!!!!!!!

I used to use Phyto - it's a great perm but it dried out my hair overtime...I use MBB now and I love it....:grin:

:congrats: Congratualtions on a successful relaxer. Mizani Butter Blends Mild is the ONLY relaxer system I use. I use the entire system, all the components, and they works soooo well together. Perfect results every single time!!

thanks for posting this! if i ever switch to a lye relaxer this will be my first choice.

I have to agree with the OP about Mizani BB. This is the best relaxer that I've ever used. It's the only relaxer that has not dried my hair out over time. It's a bit pricy, but imo it's worth the cost. Phyto is also a good relaxer, but eventually it did dry my hair out, plus the Mizani BB relaxer has more moisture in it.

I'm a MBB self relaxer...I didn't damage my hair or over process! It's amazing!!

I think people with course hair have problems with underprocessing. I have fine hair and I textlax so its perferct for me.

My hair never has that dead just relaxed feeling after using the system. Or the left over relaxer smell! That's amazing!

I guess I am the only one who oesnt like it. I was soooo excited to try it - but I am texlaxed and it made my hair too straight. When I did my daughter's hair - her scalp was burning. So we went back to Mizani - sensitive formula - LOVE it. I love Mizani and everything in their line - but not the Butter Blend!

baddison - Great hair growth! Looks like BSL in no time!

I've been using Mizani BB for a while now and love it! I get even coverage no burns - no reversions...it's great!

Thanks....I sure hope so...

I wish this hadn't been posted; I've been stalking the MBB system on ebay for a while now. :lachen: I know if I leave Phyto I'll be trying the MBB; the question is just will it be for the next t/u?

Same here! Plus I had color and I went into protein overload!!! No matter how many DCs and overnight moisture treatments, my hair was still dry to the point that I was ready to BC!

I bought a huge MBB set from the Bronner Brothers Hair Show this past weekend. I can't wait to "slap it on"! LOL!

I was Recently Blessed with a 4lb Tub of MBB!:look:

I will be using it Labor Day Weekend. My 3rd Attempt at "Self Relaxing" I am praying my Skillz have improved.:ohwell: *not the greatest*

Previously, my Relaxer of "Choice" was Linange Shea Butter so, it will be interesting to see how the MBB Compares to the Linange.:look:

Where do you ladies purchase MBB?

I'm thinking of diving into the world of tex-laxing and this may be an good relaxer for me.

I might have to give this another try. When MBB first came out. I tried it (I got the big thing of it). Applied it to my hair and it didnt take at all:ohwell:. Thats when I started going back to the salon. Obviously I did something seriously wrong. I may revisit after all the wonderful reviews.

Online, Soror? I think www.bluebeez.com has really good prices. If I hadn't come up at the BB Hair Show, I would have bought it there.

I've seen some locally in the "higher end" Asian BSS's locally.

Thanks soror! Wherever I get it, I have to get it online. I have to have a license of some sort to get it at the local BSS....

I used the MBB lye formula in regular. It left my hair feeling great at first, then dry. My hair was not nearly as straight as I want. Since I bought the whole system, I am going to use it up and see if I can get it straighter with the touchups by relaxing the under processed parts.
