Mizani BB - Substitutions

Those that use the Mizani BB, do you guys use all the steps of the system? I felt it was useless to buy the Honey Shield and the Butter Base as I can subsitute Vaseline for the Butter Base and Conditioner mixed w some neutralizing shampoo for the Honeyh Shield.

Now, the problem I'm having is I didn't see the PerpHecting Cream at the store and I feel that it was crucial.

Has anyone found a subsitute for this? I'm relaxing (at home) today and would like to know if this is an important step for this system and if I can just use a protein treatment for this..

loreal makes mizani and optimum. the opti ph and the perphecting cream have almost the same ingredients

have you used this? You think I can skip this step? I was thinking of using my protein (Aphogee 2 min Reconstructor) instead of this since I'm relaxing today and don't have time to get it..
