Mixing sulfate-free shampoos with sulfate shampoos?

Thanks to LHCF, I've found out that my scalp is not a huge fan of sulfates. For the longest time, I thought I had dandruff, but in reality it was the sulfate shampoos I was using causing my scalp to become dry, itchy, and incredibly flakey. The only sulfate shampoo that doesn't is Hawaiian Silky's neutralizing shampoo. I don't know why, but my scalp does fine with it. But I understand it's not good to use neutralizing shampoos on a regular basis.

So, I switched to sulfate-free shampoos. But my scalp never feels clean, so it ends up getting itchy because of the buildup. Plus, I have to admit, I miss the foaming suds that sulfates don't have.

I'm wondering, if I mix a little bit of regular shampoo with the sulfate-free shampoos, will that be enough to clean my hair and scalp without my scalp flaking up. Anyone done this?
