Terrible reading your experience, especially the hair loss you endured.

I don't know if that comma on the end means the list got cut off or what.

Oh honey I'm so sorry this happened to you but glad your hair is doing better now @mysblossom.
Surprisingly, black tea rinses did the very same thing to my hair and once I got it straightened (by mildly texlaxing it), I never tried them again.

I started a thread called "I'm so not a mixed chick" about these fk-a-- products. Mixed Chicks was pure garbage in my hair.
I don't remember the details, but it had something to do with their love of being light skinned or mixed. Either way, the name of their company is off-putting and I've never had a desire to try them...no matter how deep a discount.
I know right? Shocker!Wow! Who could have KNOWN?!?? Black tea. Hmph.
Yes and no. If you are 3a or 3b,you most likely would not need another leave-in underneath. If you are a 3c, I would say yes you do need one.My hair was wet when applied.
But . . .
The leave-in itself needs ANOTHER leave-in beneath it?

The name is deceiving. It acts more like a styler than a leave-in.
Yes, I have a small tube of it and I found it to be sticky. But I know a woman with thick type 4 hair that loves it.I m not protein sensitive at all and my hair hated mixed chicks leave in . Left it dry and sticky . I threw it away.
Ugh sorry that happened to you blossom

I tried Mixed Chicks a long time ago...garbage. I remember another company called Blended Beauty and that owner was thought to be shady too. Same concept...for mixed folks...but she belonged to a msg board just for radical biracial ppl...it was crazy.
Okay, now I'm worried although it appears you're transitioning. Products worked differently for me at all stages, relaxed, transition, natural.
I took out my crochet braids this weekend and did a protein treatment and deep conditioned overnight. I have mixed chicks leave in on my hair right now, have had it in all day, in a bun. I am really hoping not to have a birds nest when I take my bun down. My 3c/4a hair hair loves protein.
I need to be in the office all day tomorrow, early meeting that goes all day. I do not have time to deal with hair drama at 6 am.
I'm kind of nervous now about even taking the bun down.
Transitioning? No . . . I'm fully natural.
Have you used the leave-in before? You said your hair loves protein, so hopefully you'll be good to go.
Also, you are 3c/4a. I am 4a/4b. It seems to be that Mixed Chicks works better for 3c hair.
I hope your hair turns out nicely!
