i hear people say that when you press with either a flat iron, hot comb, whatever so much that it's "trained", WTF does that mean in terms for black hair? Doesn't that mess up a person's hair texture after a while with all that heat? I need some clafitcation.

"Trained" is a nice euphemism for damaged natural hair that has been burned straight from improper heat-straightening methods.

I always thought it was relaxed. I'm going with the info from the 26year stylist.

Because the other article doesn't say anything about being natural, and making mention of her hair being curly does not mean that it is natural. There are plenty who don't relax bone straight and therefore still have curly relaxed tresses.

Either way... It always looks fabulous.

I have seen her in pictures with her natural hair. I also read that it is a blow out that is then flat ironed. The girls get the same thing done to theirs--I've seen them in their natural hair with plaits or twists.
