Why is this?
How can I fix it?
I've been TLCing and massaging the area.... for about 3 days LOL
Will this fix it for sure?

(I'm always complaining about something sorry ladies)

all of our hair on our head does not grow equally so its common to have some places longer then others.

do you sleep on your back?? If so that might explain why it could be thinner/shorter in the middle and not the sides. i sleep on my right side and that side is shorter then my left.

Im not really sure what the issue is, but continue babying that section and showing it TLC.

if your into the whole topical thing, maybe you could apply mtg, surge, or something just on that area for it to catch up.

hope i helped somewhat

my hair doesn't grow even either!! I just keep mine curly (I am relaxed but love rollersets and braid/twist outs) so it's not noticeable when it is curled. and even if I use the curling iron once in a while my hair will have some bends or loose curls... so no one notices:cool:... and honestly it doesn't bother me for my hair to grow uneven.. I admit I have thought about getting it cut to one length.. but why? when it may grow back uneven afterwards  ! The nape of my hair grows so much faster than my crown and sides but I still treat my hair with gentleness all over and I keep it moisturized and deep conditioned ... as long as all your hair is healthy then I wouldn't be too concerned about it growing uneven... I just look at myself and say oh... I have uncontrolled layers in my hair!!.. it gives it a more fuller look anyways!!

My cousin and I were just discussing thei thei morning:) Our hair ( my cousin and I) tends to grow fastest at the sides, leaving the middle shorter. I told her that it was probably because our mothers laid us on our backs when we were baby's or all the times they dropped us on our heads!!!!:lachen: (JK)

I was told it comes from tying my scarf in the back in the middle at the nape. Do you tie your scarves that way? I now *carefully* do the 'aunt jemima' tie in the front near hairline (and stay at home, of course:cool: can't be caught out like that). Gotta watch the hairline.

Ladies watch how you tie hair. when you cross over to knot you may inadvertantly grab strands thus breaking them off.:ohwell:

toodles!

ok lets see if i can answer everyones questions in one post

Umm, Jaded, YES I sleep on my back, I think this may be it

Innersoul, it bothers me girl I dont know how you do it!! Ive trimmed it twice trying to correct this problem but the sides of my hair insists on SUPER GROWING on the SIDES. It bothers me mostly because my sides are the length I want it everywhere you know, so its like Im getting no where

TLD, giiiirl I tell ya something mussa happened because I have had this problem for the longest

Sly, No my scarf is huge, the know ends up at my forehead, but Im thinking its because I sleep on my back
