May 27 28 29 30 What Are Weekend Hair Plans?

Planning on babying my hair this weekend to get it back on track.
Prepoo: conditioner mixed with coconut oil
Shampoo: Redken Frizz Dismiss
Conditioner: Redken Frizz Dismiss
Deep Conditioner: Redken Frizz Dismiss hair mask
Air-dry 50% in twist and then I'll undo each twist and blow-dry my hair will be braided in a beehive afterwards so I can put my wig back on.

Ended up doing this and that didn't work out to well after my disaster at hair cuttery. Ended up having my mom put a perm in and i'm currently bunning for a week or two.

Currently, I have a head full of Dabur Vatika Oil that I'm pre-pooing with. I'm waiting on my henna mix to defrost.

-Garnier fructis sleek n shine leave in w/bamboo extract
-Blow dry with OGX blow dry cream under a little grape seed/almond oil mix
-Have my mom braid my hair then install crochet braids
Was being lazy so braids and install won't happen until tomorrow and I didn't do the Aphogee treatment. Used NurCreations matcha green tea avocado hair mask mixed with Jakeala sweet honey hair thang and a little NurCreations Irish moss and burdock root protein treatment to dc. Best combo ever.

Finger detangle and condition with coconut oil.

If I can find a no-poo option that I like (i.e. shikakai powder) then I will be using that to rinse the coconut oil out of my hair. If not then I will probably use my ORS Creamy Aloe. I am tired of ordering stuff on the internet through military mail. It takes such a loooong time.

Anyhow, after that I will be twisting my hair using Shea Moisture Curl Smoothie. Oiling my scalp with Sunny Isle Lavender JBCO.

I wound up buying a jar of edible bentonite clay-I do not know the brand. I put roughly 3/4 tsp in a 3 oz container filled with water, rinsed as much of the oil out of my hair as possible, then smoothed the mixture through my hair, gently massaging my scalp. I let the mixture sit in my hair before rinsing.

At first my hair felt too soft almost as if the clay didnt remove the oil. However, as my hair dried I realized that my hair and scalp had been perfectly cleaned. I am very happy with the results. I think what I love most about it is that it is no where near as messy as indian powders.

There was zero grit, I didnt have to sift or steep the clay, and I didnt have to worry about hot water. I havent used clay in my hair in a looong time, like five or six years. I never used it to wash my hair, only to do a bentonite mask which I recall disliking. This is something I could get behind in a big way, and unlike shikakai powder I can find bentonite powder locally.

I will definitely be repeating this next week. Hoping my good results werent a fluke.

Put in medium twists to trim. I didn't seal my ends because I didn't want them gummy while I trimmed. I'm going to remoisturize and baby my ends later on this week.
