How thick are your sections of hair per glide?
Is it thick or really thin?
Whats your hair type and how long does it take to do your whole head?
Does anyone use it with the Fantasia pink bottle protectoer?
What are your results?
Do you rollerset first?
How slowly do you move it down the shaft?
Does it always rip out hair?
Any tips?

Yes, I know, 20 questions! Thanks gliders!!

How thick are your sections of hair per glide? Not very thick, I normally part my hair down the middle and then flat iron about 6 sections on each side. I hope that makes sense.

Is it thick or really thin? More thin, I feel it straightens my hair better

Whats your hair type and how long does it take to do your whole head? Hair type is 3b/3c I think, it takes me 30-45 minutes

What are your results? Love the results, but my hair reverts pretty quickly.

Do you rollerset first? Haven't done that yet, I have only maxiglided twice so far but I do plan to rollerset and only do the roots in the future.

How slowly do you move it down the shaft? Not slow at all

Does it always rip out hair? Only used it with the flat plates

I start at the nape and the sections are about one inch wide.

Usually thin....thicker if I want a more full look.

3b

Yes

Good results. My hair dosen't seem to get damaged and it does not revert. I shampoo and flat iron every two weeks and it stays straight during that whole time.
Do you rollerset first?
No, I usually braid my hair and sit under the dryer or band it so it will be semi-straight.
How slowly do you move it down the shaft?
Not too slow. I try to do one smooth stroke and let it cool before doing the second stroke so I'm not doubling up on the degree of heat. It usually gets straight with the first stroke.
Does it always rip out hair?
I have the plate w/ teeth and some of my hair does come out during the straightening process but it is not ripped out at all. The teeth really gets my hair straight and it really gets those ends.
Any tips?
If you use the teeth make sure the hair is detangled before you glide the iron down.

Did you purchase your Maxiglide in the BSS or from the internet? I've heard really good things about it

You can get if off the internet. (I got mine on amazon.com)
I know you can get them at bed bath and beyond also.
QVC has them now. (I think it's QVC if not try HSN)

*I have never seen them in the regular BSS.*

Is it thick or really thin? more on the thin side.

3b/c Takes maybe 30 mins.

I have this but haven't used it with the maxiglide yet.

What are your results? OH My! I love it. I have pics of my hair in my fotki and on here also I think.

Do you rollerset first? No

How slowly do you move it down the shaft? medium speed.

Does it always rip out hair? you have to be careful of those teeth. Dont squeeze hard. If you use the plate without the teeth, you will have no problems.

Any tips? Again, do not squeeze hard. You dont have too. Gotta be careful of the teeth.

Yes, I know, 20 questions! No problem at all. :)Thanks gliders!!

Hope that helps.

I try to separate my hair in thin sections that are about 2 inches wide. I think my hair type is 3c. I have used the Fantasia pink bottle serum, it works well. This reminds me I should use it again. I get distracted with all my products! The Maxiglide is the most amazing styling tool I have ever used. I move it down slowly, occasionally I'll see a few hair in the teeth but not many. As I move down to my ends, I open up the plates and steam burst, that way the the teeth aren't gripping on my ends. I always set my ends on rollers when airdrying so they are relatively smooth already so I don't have to use the detangling pins on the ends. That's my tip! ;)
