MAXIGLIDE MP - To Keep or Return to Sender?

Hello LHCF friends. I have a day to decide if I want to return my maxiglide for a full refund (30 days). I bought it so that I could learn to flat iron my own hair in preparation for a professional trim. I tried it twice - I'm a heat phobic and don't really want to use heat on my hair very often. I used the plate with the teeth and I was not pleased:sad: either time. Of course I didn't know what the heck I was doing either. I waited 2 weeks before I tried it the second time.

The 2nd time I took a stab at blowdrying my hair. Also I went to TJMaxx and bought a Rusk iron (in case I want to do my own BKT one day - I'll need 450 degrees ). I flat ironed one hair of my hair with the maxiglide and the other with the Rusk. The side with the Rusk turned out so much better. I used the plate with the teeth again (forgot it also had a flat plate).

Sooooo - I'm not sure if I just don't know how to use it yet and should keep the maxiglide or just be done with it and send it back. I am thinking I should try again with the maxiglide flat plate but that would mean more heat and also it would be too late to return the maxiglide for a full refund. What do you think? - and no I didn't take pictures.

I'd return it and keep the Rusk. Only thing with Rusk, it sometimes pulls at the hair. I'm wondering if mine is garbled a bit on the plastic edges or something. Maybe it's the angle I use...but it's a good iron.

There you have it - I'll return it (even though I got it for a great deal). It won't do me any good if I don't use it and you're right Volver_Alma the Rusk iron does pull my hair. I think its the way the iron is constructed at the top. My hair can get caught in the plastic edges causing it to pull my strands out :-( thanks ladies!
