Maxiglide!! Love it!! Flat Ironed 4a/b hair

Your hair looks great!!!

I didn't get rid of my maxiglide because the raves always intrigue me...but not enough to use it again  But, your results might actually push me to give it another try.

OK girl. what temp and what products did you use cuz you did a GREAT JOB!

What setting did you use it on because it does nothing for me, I have not used it in forever

I had it at I think 6..Products used include:
ic Fantasia Heat Protectant (comes in a pink bottle costs about $9.00)
L'Oreal Smooth Glide (another heat protectant, I found it at Walmart for $4.00)
Maxiglide can get from HSN, amazon, and other stores. I recommend HSN.
Blow dryer was a conair brush type..not sure what model..
HTH

It looks wonderful. I usually have a problem with my roots reverting by the end of the day though.

Hey...yeh before I used to have that problem..but I think the heat protectant i used helps fight reversion and also when I wrapped it every night it helped cut down on the reversion. HTH

Wow! You and Maxiglide make a great team ;) Your hair came out beautifully

Thanks for this, I was just thinking the other day if it is possible to get 4a/b natural hair straight with irons. Now I just need to raise the money for my future Maxiglide:look::look:

Just wanted to thank you for posting your before and after pictures. I wear my hair natural and I am the worst when it comes to blowdrying and hot curling my hair. Whenever I tried to do this in the past, it didn't work out too well. However, after seeing your post, I decided to give the Maxiglide a try. I blow dried my hair (which comes out much straighter now after buying a brush blow dryer) on Friday and then bought and used the Maxiglide yesterday. The results were incredible. My hair has not been this straight since my wedding in October 2007 and that was only because I had it professionally done. Thank you so much.

Wow... if I hadn't seen the before pictures, I won't have thought your hair's all natural!
Beautiful results! Your hair n it's natural state is pretty too.

WOW your hair looks amazing in all the styles. I bought the MaxiGlide when I was considering transitioning, or at least to tackle my new growth when I stretch. I have the newest model, and I bought the miniglide, but I seriously feel like the detangling pins remove too much of my hair. I know you are not supposed to clamp the the flatiron down, but rather, let it "glide" over the hair. Maybe I haven't perfected my technique b/c I've only used it a few times. But your results have inspired me to keep my Maxiglide.

Yeh before I knew how to use it properly, I remember I would have it too high and then drag it across my hair losing a lot of strands. Now thanks to blow drying before hand, I don't even need to clamp and stress, just a simple swipe/glide really, and I didn't even do small sections lol.

And thanks all for the compliments..Hoepfully at the end of the year, I will do another flat ironing and get even better results. (Hair that stays straight and not revert or want to revert after 3 days).

Your hair is SOOOOO pretty!!! :drunk::drunk::drunk:

It looks great! You did a WONDERFUL job with your Maxi...I tried it for a while but it just wasn't for me.

I just love your hair both curly AND straight! :drunk:

Lol..I didn't give up on it at all...NEVER that! I actually was dumb and left my maxiglide at home..and i'm at school..but I've been itching to try new flat irons in any case, lol..so a few friends who are natural who flat iron, said hey RED flat iron works pretty ok..so i decided to try. So far, tho..I tried it on a small section of my hair..didn't like it too much..What I realize is..I would need my beloved! Maxiglide to get the kinks out (and yes even after blowdrying) first, then maybe do a once over with the RED for the extra swang and ka-blam! ^_^ And in Dec/Jan..I want to straighten my hair..I'll use the maxiglide and this time try their Beyond Straight and The End.

Oh..thx :)..What I have realized with a lot of ppl who use the maxiglide..they don't always blowdry..for me..I have to blow dry first..maybe not bone straight blow dry, but atleast some blow drying and then the rest..is as they say: history!..but overall..I'd have to say Maxiglide is a winner in my eyes.
