OK, so after looking at Bubbln's beautiful hair yesterday and being absolutely amazed at her Maxiglide pics, I went to Linens and Things and purchased one yesterday. I got it to try out on my daughter's naturals. So I used it today and I am in AWE of how straight her hair got with this iron. All I needed was one pass over each section for it to get it completely straight. I used setting 5. When I was finished her, her looked like she'd had a relaxer. I have never before achieved this on her hair with my other ceramic iron. She's in love with her hair right now. It's so nice and straight I'm even letting her wear it down for today. She thinks she is all that  So for all you ladies who tested out this out and shared with us, I thank you all. And a special thanks to Bubbln for inspiring me to get it. With this, I can probably go 6 months without a relaxer :D Check out the pics in the album titled "My lil mama" .

Awww she is such a cutie...she reminds me of you a bit around the eyes...at least in the earlier pics. Beautiful hair!!!

Hey thanks. She looks just like me in person. She's a little minnie me :D

She is a cutie. Like mother like daughter. How much did you pay for it? I am going to break down and buy one.

Your daughter is so beautiful armyqt! And I agree, the maxiglide comes really close to a hard press (or relaxer) in terms of straightening.

Thanks so much ladies. She is swanging her hair so hard.

@ Brickhouse - I paid $79 for it.

@ Bubbln - Yes I did use the steam burst, but not on all the strands. What's the purpose of it? And is this iron suppose to be better at protecting the hair strands than the typical irons? I'm sooooo glad I held out and didn't the the CHI or the FHI. Maxi is worth every penny.
Now all I need is one of those Pibb hairdryers and I'm in business

Her and her hair is absolutely gorgeous, and so is yours. I showed my daughter and she is now so ready to go natural, (as long as she can still use our Nexxus products), lol, I told her she sure can  . I like to use the steam burst on the Maxi, because it adds more softness and shine, IMO, especially on the ends.

I am using the pw Armyqt but it is not accepting it.

Wow, the maxiglide looks really good! I wish they sold it here.
Also, I love the twistout style with the headband you did on her :)

Awww, she's adorable!! Her hair came out VERY nice. Now stop tempting me to buy this iron. I have other stuff I have to take care of.

She'll be 9 next month, God willing, she said, "I want my hair to be all curled up so everybody can think my hair is short and then when I wear it out all curled and stuff, they'll be like Oh my God your hair is long." LOL, my little drama queen. ;)

  She's funny. My baby will be 9 next month too. She is also a lil drama queen. She's gonna knock their socks off at school tomorrow. I've always taught her that her natural hair is beautiful and she loves her curls too. But with it straight, she gets to be like mommy for a bit. Plus there's only like one other black girl in her class and she's sees the lil white girls throwing their hair around all the time. She always ask me if she can wear her hair out. But that's like a nightmare to me because her hair is so bushy. Now I can finally grant her wish. Thank you Maxiglide :D

Your daughters hair looks very nice! I am convinced I should get the maxiglide! I am putting it on my christmas wish list!!! :)

I've been preachin' about Maxiglide for almost a year. This is worth every single penny! It worked wonders on my daughter's 4a strands. I love the steam burst. I use distilled water in mine. I'm glad it worked so well for you.
