what are the pros and cons using lye or using no-lye? i'm thinking about texturizing soon, but i don't know if i want to use lye or no-lye. i would like to keep the thickness to my hair and most of my curl pattern. i just want it stretched out and easier to manage. i heard no-lye leaves a film on your hair, but i also heard there are special shampoos that remove it. any help would be appreciated.
