That is very pretty Kelkel.
I'll try it on my hair sometime soon but I doubt I'll have the same results.
I agree with some of the others...Your curl pattern looks just outside of the type4 category.

Hair typing is so weird!
I was explaining it to my husband yesterday and he told me that if type 4 is the farthest end of the scale, then I can't possibly be a type 4.
I know what you're talking about Mook (as we are hair twins) I'm confused too...doesn't make too much sense to me. I just always say 4a/b

Thanks ladies for the compliments.... just wanted to update that after 3 days my hair is still holding up, the curls have become bigger, not as defined, a little wild... more of a curly fro...but I love the look.

Also I wanted to let you all know that I didn't want to mislead anyone about the Lustrasilk:nono:..... it doesn't totally create curls .... It manages the curls that you already have and makes it more defined....**still trying to come up with an accurate description**..:perplexed:grin:.

Also along with the Lustasilk, I think how you apply it is just as important -- Str8isis on youtube used Elasta QP leave-in on her hair, and it is fab !

here is her video:

I think someone asked if I have a perm - I am natural and I probably only straighten my hair every 3-4 months.... most of the time I wear my hair in plaits or cornrolls under my half wigs.

as far as my hair type.... I dunno I think I might be a mixture... but more so than anything I am 4a.... not that there is anything wrong with being type 3 I am an equal opportunist hair lover/addict:grin:..... but I am 4a... I threw the 4b in the title of my thread because in the middle of my head I have some 4b.... believe me its there ppl:yep:.

I just wanted to give a review on the Lustrasilk from the perspective of someone with type 4 hair.... in pokahontas's thread I know a couple of ladies were wondering about it.

It would be great for someone with type 4b/c to give it a try.... I would be very interested in seeing the results.:brainy:

Again Thank you to all who suggested this product and technique because it has given me the freedom to enjoy my hair in its natural state.

...... Hey ladies.... okay I hardly ever post ...I usually sit on the sidelines quietly trying to absorb all the great tips and info from you all.

So I was reading Pokahontas's thread about the Lustrasilk Shea butter cholesterol.... and the pj in me took over and I ran out to Sally's to get it.

So I decided to try the curlisto method not expecting too much..... and to my surprise I fell in love !!!!!!!!!!!:love::love:

I have tried Tigi Curls Rock..... Mixed Chicks and a few others and I would have never guessed my saver would come in a 2.95 tub.:lachen:

I wore my hair out yesterday, which I never do and my aunt was like, "how did you get your hair to curl like that?" which meant it must have looked presentable otherwise she would have been getting her clown on.

So Thank you Pokahontas for the tip as well as all the natural 4a/b ladies who said it was possible. You ladies have given me my summer hair....
You're welcome. Wow, your hair turned out awesome!! This stuff is the truth. And to think I've wasted so much money on expensive curl products:nono: and like you said, it all comes down to this $2 tub.

:bump:

Bumping for my 4a/4b peeps

This conditioner is a staple of mine, and believe me it works really well :yep:

I use it mixed with oils, and more recently I've started adding my L'Oreal TextureLine Serum (for silicones) and my hair comes out very VERY soft. For $2.99, you can't beat the value on this product :yep:
