So I pulled it out for the holiday since the weather's bad.

I distinctly remember oohing and aahing over Nia Long's hair back then. I'm looking at it now like, :perplexed , 'cause it's actually pretty short. Now Lisa Nicole Carson's natural hair is FIYAH..... My how a little lhcf exposure can change your perspective.

Just wanted to share. Going back to lurk mode.

I have never been a fan of short hair on me but have loved it on other woman and now I am like you...I love the whole big hair thing. I love Tracee Ellis Ross' hair, I love Diana Ross' hair, I love Lisa Nicole Carson's hair. I doubt my natural hair will ever be that big without some munipulation but my has my perspective changed. I am no longer ohing and aweing over the Beyonce's of the world but the natural divah's of the world, that have hair just as long

Her hair may not have been long on that movie, but her hair was very shiny and healthy.

I always wondered if it was hers though. During that rain scene where she just stood there without a problem I was like

I mean she was acting, but still in real life, I WOULD NOT have been doing that! But, I am texlaxed so me and standing in the rain without looking like  is not my thing.

I have never been impressed with Beyonce's "hair". I am NEVER impressed with fake hair. I am impressed with REAL hair - short, long, natural or relaxed - when it is healthy and you can tell that the woman loves working it! I see too many women that are slave to weaves and other fake hair. I now find myself noticing all women that work there own hair with love and ease.

Very pretty wedding pic. I LOVE the black & white.

I'm definitely more appreciative of naturals now that I've joined the boards. I'm relaxed but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the natural waves!

I was just looking at Love Jones last night, and you're right, Lisa Nicole's hair was gorgeous.

I'm like how did I miss that head of hair before?

Her hair was very healthy and, yes, she did wear tracks in the movie.

It's just that b/c of my hair's condition at the time I was really impressed with her hair and thought I would have to wear a weave to achieve that look. I'm looking at it now like  .

If only I knew then what I know now....

ESPECIALLY when it's a ratty weave or you can tell that their real hair is damaged. I know they see me looking at them like I smell fish.

I thought Nia's hair was beautiful and I still do. Long or not her hair is amazing. Of course Lisa's hair is beautiful as well. Just for different reasons :)

I know girl. I was in Home Depot the other day and I should have been shopping for my new appliances, but I could not take my eyes off of the girl that was trying to help me. She had a wet and wavy weave on, but the ery top where her hair was out looked like a hot striny mess. It was a different color, sticking up and very short and dry. I was like  I would NOT have been at work like that.

It's funny and sad because in the past I 've been guilty of taking better care of my weave than my real hair....

I can't hate too much on Nia because so many people say that I look like her (or, she looks like moi ). But I do remember loving her hair and then backing up, thinking that not only was it not that long, but it was also thin-looking to me. It was cute back then, but I think I always preferred her with a close-cropped cut, feathered or layered cut, or the short doo that she rocked in The Best Man and Boiler Room. I was natural back then and was completely in love with Lisa Nicole's hair...and jealous, too! It's a shame that we don't see much of LNC anymore. I wonder what she's up to...

Both Nia and Lisa are beautiful women! :yep:

I used to want Janet Jackson's length from the Doesn't Really Matter video and now when I look at it, it looks so short.

OT: Okay, so I thought I was the ONLY one that did this!! :lachen: :lachen: The girl that helped me at Sally's got a big ole dose of the WTH while she was helping me, I just couldn't help myself!! Her head was 1 1/2 straight hair and 1 1/2 curly shiny something. I kept thinking, naw, honey, naw, you work in a BSS, you should be representing!
