Lost in Translation????

So, I was in another thread mentioning that I really can't afford to be a hair PJ, because I have so many other addictions - books, food, home deco, shoes, etc. I have really been trying to stick to a monthly budget for my hair stuff because I did not want DH to complain.

So I chuckled while I posted. DH's response when I told him I was cutting back???? "No baby, do your thing. I love they way your hair feels and smells. But if you want to cut back on the books and shoes, I'm okay with that."

Does he realize that what I heard was he would rather me be dumb with ugly shoes as long as my hair feels and smells good? Heaven Forbid!! And exactly how did my hair feel and smell before?

I know that is not what he meant, but that is my translation. Too funny.

I thought I would share, because I knew my LHCF sistas would understand.

For some reason...this reminds me of a joke a friend of mine used to love to tell. He even went so far as to put it in a birthday card he gave me one year:
