I just ran into a friend from college whose hair I have always admired. Her hair type is 3C. What is interesting about her is that her hair is naturally should-length in curls. But when she gets it blown out and flat-ironed, her hair is a little past waist length! What a difference!

Of course, her hair is still beautiful after not seeing her for years.

Wow, now that's what I call shrinkage!!! I bet it is beautiful. Waist length is my goal also!

Sounds like the way mine shrinks. I believe I have 75% shrinkage. I do not blow dry or flat iron so I just guess the length by stretching it with my hand or wrapping it and stretching it out... when wrapped it looks like relaxed hair, but if I do not stretch it out, it just looks wet and wavy. Hard to tell what the full length would be so I guess I will just fantasize until it is waistlength stretched. Bonjour.
