Hahaha..I was on Kim Kardashian's blog today. I am a big blog fan.http://www.officialkimkardashian.com She had a question and answer section about hair for today's topic. The answer she gave below, to the reader "Stacy" seemed like she had been on lurking mode with Reggie's sisters.. or Ray's sister Brandy. I'm just saying. :sekret:

Stacy says: Hi Kim, I am a huge fan and I watch your show and even the reruns. I would love to know how you get your hair so shiny and healthy looking. Is it hair extensions and if so how long is your real hair? I know you have given us your makeup tips but could you please give us your hair tips? I have long brown hair but get lots of split ends. Thank you. :)

Kim Says: I always change up my shampoos and conditioners to kind of shock the hair. If you use the same stuff every day, your hair gets used to it and doesn't give the same bounce and shiny affect. So I switch products every other day. I also don't wash my hair everyday. It strips the hair of it's natural oils and can prevent it from growing longer. I also make sure to use an oil at the bottom of my hair every time I shower; like Biosilk or some split end mender. It really helps!
If you are also laying out in the sun or going to be in the pool, condition your hair while you are laying out. It looks wet like you were just in the pool but moisturizes it and protects it from the sun!

Isn't it?!?! I was like you go girl. You have officially been given your black card. Although, hair is hair is hair, but some of her answers are things I have learned right here on this board.

Well I guess we can assume that she is one of the Hollywood ladies that sports her own tresses :yep:

She's half right.

Hair does NOT get used to stuff. Hair is dead and cannot hold memory. It doesnt get used to shampoo and conditioner.

The "used to" feeling or feeling like a product is suddenly not working means you need to clarify and get rid of previous product buildup that is blocking the hair from getting the benefits of your poo/condish.

If she was a LHCF lurker then she'd know that.

When you switch a product and then suddenly it "works", it really doesnt, it just had different poo/condish agents that happend to look over the product buildup you already had and appear to work.

That is still a myth. You can use the same poo/condish for the rest of your life and it will work as long as you clarify every now and again.

I agree with this... I've heard several different hairdressers i've been to say that you should rotate your conditioners b/c after a while your hair gets use to them. I think clarifying should do the trick. Then again, i've heard several people on the board say that after clarifying their holy grail conditioner stopped working for them.

Then duh, they need to find a new clarifyer. Obviously that clarifyer wasn't strong enough to get rid of all the dirt and buildup in the strands.

People talk about hair sometimes like its a living organism with a brain.

They can either wash, rinse and REPEAT, and REPEAT AGAIN, or find a clarifyer w/ stronger agents.

It just irks me because this is something that i got educated on when i first joined this board so to still hear people say it just bothers me.

I dont think the conditioner "stopped working". Your hair just felt different after applying conditioner to CLEAN, CLARIFIED hair. So of course its gonna feel different.

:yep: :yep: :yep: :yep:

If your products aren't working for you, it's time for some clarifying or chelating

As your hair becomes longer and your ends get older, the hair may require different strengths of products, limiting the effectiveness of previous products. especially conditioners. I've known products that were to heavy at one length that work perfectly when my hair was longer or required different needs. In this case even clarifyers won't do the trick

I was thinking this same thing mainly because my hair hell-hates clarifying and over the years it's changed in texture and tensile strength.

LMAOOOO @ the bolded !!

She most definitely Didn't answer that portion of the question concerning her real hair.

Kourtney's boyfriend already put the Kardashian sisters on front street about their extensions. He called Kourtney out at dinner once.

Not that I watch the show. :sekret:

this is what I thought too. I once read this somewhere online, it may have been here, and it has always stuck with me.

lol, on the clips show after the season they did say Khloe used some horrible smelling horse stuff or something on her hair. Sounds like MTG.

Anything's possible.

I think she just repeated the advice her hairdresser(s) give her, and no she did not answer the question about her fake hair...surprise surprise:rolleyes:
