Light and bouncy hair

Hi Ladies,

My hair is about 4-5 inches from mid-back,this I have achieved with all of the wonderful advice that I have gotten since being a part of this hair club /images/graemlins/smile.gif My question is this, after I wash my hair I like to put alot of oil on the ends and throughout the hair to protect my hair from breakage. My hair is bouncy but what I want is that light airy bounce you get when you dont use oil (or very little). When I do this the strands dont stick together from the oil and I get more thickness and bounce. The downside, however,is that it seems more fragile if I comb. Perhaps I could try finger combing only when I dont use much oil. Anyone have any suggestions on protecting the hair when not using oil to achieve more bounce?

Thanks,
Tee

Maybe using one of those light hair polishers. You know the ones that are clear. Most contain some kind of cones, but several of them also have vitamins and other good ingredients in them.

Thanks Supergirl,

I think Fantasia IC has one. Maybe I'll check that out or just use very little oil (3 drops max) just to give the hair a little shine and tame fly aways.

I've had success using Phto 7 or 9 to acheive bouncy, but moisturized hair. The only problem is that it's $18-20 /images/graemlins/frown.gif

LOL! I love that little nudge with the stick! lol

Thanks everyone for your replies. I found something that works for me to achieve light, airy, bouncy but moisturized hair. After I condition wash I just spray my hair with my Pantene light leave in conditioner and let it air dry. It is very moisturized and soft, light and airy. It seems to also help breakage. I guess because the last ingredients listed in Pantene leave in is silk amino acids (protein) so it keeps the stands strong. I dont use any oil at all anymore and I'm loving my hair. I'm due for a touch up this weekend so I look forward to doing this new regime with my newly relaxed hair.

I was in a store in Georgetown (DC), called Blue Mercury, recently looking for the Kiehl's Silk grom and they were out of it. So the saleswoman points me in the direction of Phyto 9. She told me that I would love it. I REALLY like this stuff. i use it as a leave in conditioner. Before I left the store, she said "You'll beeee baaaack!" It will take me a while to finish the bottle but I probably will go back! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

You are too funny! I use the the Phyto 9 as well, it works well on my dry hair and you don't have to use a lot of it. I haven't tried the Phyto 7 in a while, I'll have to try it again.
