Are u ladies just boiling the black tea,and pouring it over your head when it cools down? I may need to start doing this

Typically your hair sheds because it is becoming thicker and healthier than the previous strands. Hair has trouble transforming in the middle of a strand of hair meaning that often times when your hair starts going great...shedding will happen. I think the hair just kind of takes a look at itself and goes "Why am I going to waste my time clinging to this weak little baby hair when I can dump it and hook up with a nice strong buff hair" (lol, that was horrible)

Of course I'm going through it now, lol. And trying to find something to combat it because I am avoiding garlic anything and trying to avoid anymore supplements. So anything topical I can find I will try. I'm doing the Biotin thing now to see how that helps.

Do you ladies think excessive shedding has something to do with the change in weather i.e from winter to summer? Cause I've read weather change/increased sunlight exposure/melatonin level changes has a lot to do it.

BTW, when I took down my last install that I had in for 2 months, I noticed I shed like crazy, it was depressing :(.

i picked the tip up from tracyee's youtube video. I think she mentioned on her blog allowing it to sit over nite
I boil or use the coffee pot... allow it to sit/cool... then pour
i now use a bigger bowl to put your head in to massage ..... or simply pour it over my head multiple times

APRETADORA for shedding?
HAS ANYONE USED THIS PRODUCT??? ANY KNOWLEDGE OR A REVIEW OF HOW IT WORKS?? DOES IT DRY OUT YOUR HAIR?? BEST YOU'VE FOUND? (WHERE PURCHASED?)

I'm glad i came in here....i'm definitely gonna try the black tea rinse though...my hair has been feeling really thin lately. Especially after i flat ironed last week....but i've always had a problem with having thinner hair in the hot seasons.

Has anyone simply cut open the black tea bag and mixxed it w/ a conditioner? I'm wondering if this will have the same effect, or if it would be too potent. I actually suck at rinses... half of the liquid ends up on my back before even touching my hair. I think I would like it in a creamier form. What do u all think?

but i'm laughing my arse off thinking of you throwing it over your shoulder like salt!!!!

try a LARGE bowl of tea and putting your head in.... massaging the scalp

Not sure how to increase thickness, read that biotin supplements help with that.. My shedding was do to hormonal imbalance also but mostly very low iron. I had blood work done and was diagnosed with very low iron. My hair which was nearly BSL was shedding over a period of time and the ends became see-thru and that is when I noticed that the shedding wasn't normal. I went from nearly BSL to APL to SL and I finally cut my hair or did the big chop as you ladies say here this past March.. Currently taking iron supplements daily to increase iron ferritin level.
I see you have a 6 month old, which times out to a little bit before you BC'd. Do you think that had anything to do with it? Like, whether it was the vitamins you no longer had to take, or your own internal hormonal changes post-baby? Just curious.
