So recently I've been reading about individual "add-ins" to place in condishes, make ur own moisturizers, etc.... and there are a few things I would like to find:

Hydrolized elastin
Cholesterol ( so I can make my OWN cholesterol treatment)
Ceramides
Lipids
Coconut Fatty Acid
Amino Acids
Folic acid
Niacin
ummm.... I can't think of anything else right now...

I have found ALOT of great info about where I can find tons of moisturizing and strengthening add-ins , and once I find some of the ones above I plan on making a master thread with information as far as where to actually get the stuff...

Are there any add-ins that u are searching for now? Post them because I or someone else might know where to purchase them! :yep:

I really want to find some wheat bran lipids. This is a key ingredient in the GOldwell Kerasilk DC and I love it, but it's expensive so I want to try to mix my own. I am also THINKING...just thinking.... of trying to mix my own WEN fig cleanser......any ideas, anyone??

Amino Acids - I know you can get from lotioncrafters.com

I'm looking for ceramides, myself, and I haven't found any. The closest I've found is a chemical manufacturer, and the cheapest they have is 5 mg for 45 bucks. :thud:

*rereads list*

I'd actually suggest checking lotioncrafters.com for a lot of that stuff.... :yep:

Maybe you can you mayonnaise for cholesterol?? I was looking for cholesterol too, so if anyone finds a better option, I'm all ears.

Egg yolks for cholesterol, mebbe, also?

Also - this at lc.com - at the bottom, it's chemical name is: C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol Esters

That's really the hard part, I think - figuring out which chemical compound/formula is actually what you want to use.

Nice! Sounds promising at first glance. I'll look into more.
