....so

I'm going natural. No more relaxers for me. The thing is, I've been natural before; I've done the TWA before; I don't feel like going through that growth phase again.

So, I said that I'd just let my hair grow out and eventually cut off all this processed hair when my natural hair is at least my current length (at least a year's wait).

I'm so tempted ya'll to just cut it!!

So, who wants to go on this challenge w/ me? I basically plan to just wash and conditioner my hair whenever it needs it (about weekly or so) and stick to my lil flattwist-out/updo look.

I don't plan to gauge or measure my growth during this whole time. Also, I don't plan on straightening it; it's just too hard to try and comb through two-textures and you can't simply finger-comb hair that you want to flat-iron.

who's game?

oh, sorry.. I'm already there. don't mean to spoil it for you. But, I, too, did a second turn to natural. Did the TWA the first time and swore not to do it again.. only to do it again anyway!

In April, I said the same thing you're saying now... I'd do the 2-texture thingy and grow it out that way, but I finally gave in to the big chop. Not that it was so challenging, b/c that phase bodes well with braidouts. But I just wanted a new look, and did the big chop, only shorter than I ever dared.

Now, I'm stalled at keeping the TeenierWeenierAfro for a while, b/c I'm loving it.. but all the best w/ your endeavor. If anything, the change is good and your scalp will get a healthier break

haha....thanks, ms. laela.

i think this will be good for me. i'm already chilling out on being a product junkie. this should really curb my hair obsession. i'll just have to stock up on cute and nifty hair accessories.
