What type of leave in do you use, and why? I have liquids and creamy ones, but I always layer on top of the liquid one because I feel like it won't be enough on it's own [Aphogee ProVitamin Leave In].

I use liquid, creamy and serums!

My liquid leave-in is a protein leave-in, I use this to infuse my hair with the added strength it will need to keep strong until the next wash.

My serums are used to help with the detangling process as heat protectants and to smooth the cuticle.

My creamy leave-in is for added moisture and elasticity, it also helps with detangling and ensuring that my hair is soft and bouncy once dried.

ETA: I picked other instead of both...sorry!

When I do use a leave-in, which is when I'm wearing my hair out, I use S Curl. Period. And I only apply it on the day I wash my hair. It lasts me until the next wash, keeps my hair very well-moisturized (fluffy soft), yet touchable (no sticky icky gooey mess). I have never understood the need to apply 189793279287 products. When I used to do that multiple products, I used to have a brush instead of hair. Less has been more for me.

I use a liquid leave-in (Jane Carter Solution Revitalizing Leave-In) because I have fine hair, and the creamy ones are too heavy for my hair.

I like creamy leave-ins. I have thick, coarse hair so the liquid ones are too light; with the exception of S-curl, which is pretty thick.

I have thick hair too.... but I have no clue what leave-ins will work for my hair. I have extra virgin coconut oil, but I'm not sure if I should categorize that as a sealer versus a moisturizer....

What's the best moisturizer that you all use?

My regular moisturizer is the Jane Carter Solution Hair Nourishing Cream. I also use the Hydratherma Naturals Daily Moisturizing Growth Lotion when I'm going to protective style w/ my wig for a few days. The Jane Carter Cream is light, which is great b/c I have fine hair. I think those w/ thicker hair would get more mileage out of the Hydratherma Naturals Daily Moisturizing Growth Lotion.

Where can I buy Hydratherma Lotion?

i do both. Blended Beauty Light Styling Lotion is a creamy shea butter based leave in. Garnier Sleek and Shine Serum is more liquid. I also use Joico SMoothing Balm - creamy. and Kerastase Relax Serum - liquid.

What is up with the Crisco? do tell :yep:

I use Oyin Handmade condish (can't think of the exace title and I just used it last night) and Paul Mitchell Direct Leave In (alternate). Not sure why I just feel more protected with a creamy rather than a liquid. Not sure how to use serums yet.

Now Ya'll All Know how I Luvre My Creamy Leave-Ins.

However, I do use a combination of both. I'll use a Vial of Fermodyl 619 and then follow-up with a little BBD Stretch Hair Growth Creme on top.

So.........typically I'll use both.:wink2:

how do you like the fermodyl? i have been eyeing that one. is it a strengthening leave in or moisturizing leave in?

It's a Staple. I use the 619. It's a Moisturizing one. They also have a 619 Extra-Strength which I think has a little protein.

They have a 233 that alot of women here love as well. I'll bump a Fermodyl thread for you.:yep:

i use and love liquid sprays and creamy leave ins. on wet hair i use a light creamy leave in. on dry hair to refresh i use a liquid spray.

I use creams more often than liquid leave-ins. I have discovered that layering my creamy leave-in under a liquid one (juice spritz) takes away the hard crunchiness.:yep:

Crisco was the missing link in my regimen!!!:lachen::lachen::lachen: I've only been using it for about a week now, but my hair LOVES it! It keeps my hair moisturized, soft and the shine is crazy. :yep: I've mixed it with other oils and used it alone, I have no complaints were Crisco is concerned. I'm telling you, if you have some in your kitchen give it a try!

Yeah, this is the only creamy leave-in I use! I love this stuff!!! :yep:

Do you use all three products at the same time or do you alternate?

Yes I do. :yep: I use the spray leave-in first, finger comb through and then apply my serum, I also finger comb this through and then following up with my wide tooth comb to detangle. Finally before rollersetting I apply a dime size amount of my creamy leave in.

I used to use Fermodyl all the time. As I recall my hair was healthy and full but I didn't attribute it to anything except life and a good stylist. I've been thinking of trying it again. If my hair guru uses it then I'm willing to give it a try:yep:!
