Late Breaking TWA Pics!!!!

My lil sis is spending the weekend with me and I MADE her bring her digital camera....so since she's been here what have I been doing you ask....why taking pictures of my TWA!

Oh and this was the first that my parents and lil sis saw my hair...no one fainted or died...my mom was shocked, but all she said was your granma is gonna be mad at you. Then she said you know all your hair is not gonna be back by October (my supposed wedding mth). Then she says this is the shortest your hair has ever been in your life, even as a baby you had more hair than this......but do you know what.....SHE NEVER MENTIONED THE FACT THAT I NO LONGER HAVE A RELAXER!!! I'm thinking in my head did she notice that?!?! What the heck is going on, my mom the hater of naps said nothing about my NAPPY HAIR!

Hi Topaz

My new regimen is to con-wash practically everyday or at least rinse with water because when I wake up my hair has shrunk very closely to my head

So the water wakes it up! I've been using my same arsenal of conditioners because I have so much stuff...Suave Coconut, Suave Humectant, Keracare Humecto, At One With Nature, and I used the last of my Elucence Moisture Balance last night. I then follow up with something on my damp hair...I've tried WGO (like a lot), FOTE Aloe Vera gel (was just okay), CD Hair Milk (also okay), Elasta QP Mango Butter (just bought and used yesterday and I likey a lot!). Then just run my hand over my hair from the back to the front to muss it up and let it airdry. pretty simple

It takes very little time for me to get my hair ready....picking out an outfit is a whole 'nother problem though!

That's because it looks so good on you Missy! I love the first picture in your new album, you look so natural, no make up, no fancy smanzy pose, you just look so fresh. I really like that picture. You remind me so much of little fish and Jada when she had her hair short like that. I don't know, just the way you carry your look its great!

Did cutting your hair off make you feel a bit more spunky? It seems like it through the pics.

Thanks so much. I think cutting my hair made me freer in that I felt like okay this is the essence of Kenesha. I feel like every woman should at least once in her life have a twa because it leaves you with nothing to hide behind. I don't think I've ever consciously used my hair as a shield, but I do think that hair is easy to hide behind if one wants to. It's easy to use that as your reason for why you look the way you do, with a TWA people are kind of taking you as is (IMO).

Also, I know a lot of people cut all their hair when they're going through something in their lives because it's cathartic and I'm going through a little something and I actually feel that along with my hair some of my past has been chopped off...like the negative energy was hiding in my hair...so all I need to do know is start up an excercise regimen so I can sweat out the rest of the negativity and clear my brain

You are so right. I've had some short hairstyles before, but never this short. And I think you weed out some of the guys that are in this lightskin, long hair frame of mind, which is not what you want anyway.
