large scunci. this way my ponytail won't be too tight

A product that has been the cheapest and the gentlest to my fine, fragile hair: pantyhose cut into rings. I buy black pantyhose, if you want to be fancy buy thick, silk pantyhose, and cut it into rings. This has been even gentler on my hair than the ouchless bands, which if you look closely actually do have little nubs that can cut sensitive hair like mine. This version is also more gentle than Scunci's pantyhose version. I really recommend this for anyone who is trying to save money and also grow their hair. I would in fact say that using this and seamless combs and pins and gentle treatment are some of the top things that have helped to grow my hair.

In another thread, about the hard water and hair, there is an article that talks about caring for the hair and it suggest the most friendly ponytail holder are the large ones that covers a piece of elastic w/ some cloth. And it says not to tie it to tight also stay away from the ones w/the metal piece. Check out the article in the thread it was real helpful w/do's and don'ts. Sorry I don't know how ta get the link to add it to my post.

Velvet/velour and satin scrunchies around the base and regular scrunchies on the outside of the bun...both are found at Wal-mart.
