I've decided to let a pro do my first full relaxer. I am kinda nervous because it will be the first full relaxer I've had since Jan. of this year. My hair has gotten more thick and curly since then and it is hard to even texlax it lightly with my spiral curls. The pro will be using TCB no lye. I feel better because Honeydew gave this relaxer a good review. My question to u ladies is how do I prepare my hair because I texlaxed w Revlon Realistic Lye. It barely made my curls softer, but the hair was chemically altered. Do you deep condition more because of no lye? I was a former Dark and Lovely user and that crap killed my hair.
I am hopnig not to repeat my past mistakes w this relaxer. I appreciate any tips or pointers U ladies can give me. I plan on retouching my own relaxers w 3-4 month stretches or longer, if I can.
