LADIES BETWEEN SL & APL.... How far are you from APL?

The last time I did a check was late September and I was about an inch away then. I am hoping to be grazing APL by December '09. I made SL in January, so it's going on a year now, trying to get to APL. Very tough length hurdle.

I hope to make it when I get my touch up in six weeks. I'm roughly an inch or so away, but it'll be at least six months before I'm full. I'm shooting for BSL at the end of next year.

I'm about three inches away from APL on the right, and one inch on the left.

My initial goal after I BC'd in '06 was to get all of my layers to chin length and cut my hair to an even length, but because of breakage and being heavy handed, my hair broke at the crown and on my right side, so now I'm waiting for APL to even everything out.

Because I the crown breakage, it's possible that I might have to wait until the rest of my hair is floating between APL and BSL before it reaches APL length. Right now, it doesn't matter because I HYH and wear my 'fro puff; it's really not noticeable. However, I'd like to flat iron and trim a bit sometime this month or Dec.

My siggy pic was taken in September. Using the line in my shirt as approx. APL for me, I'd say about 2". I was hoping to make full APL by Dec. 31th, but I don't know. I just got my new Maxiglide last night and I'm really tempted to do a length check this weekend, but it would be approx. 8 weeks since my last check and I'd be really bumed if I didn't see any progress!

I'm not sure I am on 26 wk stretch and I have so much shrinkage. Been on an APL mission for a year and some change.

How far are you from APL? How long have you been growing from SL? When do you honestly think that you will make full APL?

I don't know exactly how many inches away I am from APL, but it's not that much. I've been growing my hair from SL for almost 8 months now and I hope to be full APL by december 31st 2009.

I made grazing SL in august 2009, from my last pic in October 2009 I think I have about 3.5-4inches for APL and 4.5 for full APL in the back. I will be ending my 12wk stretch end of November so hopefully I would have 1.5 inch of growth. (crosses fingers) hopefully I will be there by Feb/March

I am about 1.5 - 2 inches from full APL, but I am about 1 inch or less from APL in the back (my hair grows in a U-shape). I had to keep cutting off damaged hair this year so that really slowed my progress, but the end is in sight.

I am 3 weeks post into a 3month+ stretch. My hair grows pretty close to 1/2 in per month so when I relax in late January, I should be APL in the back. I hope to be full APL by the end of February/early March.

I have increased protective styling (5 days a week min.) since it has gotten colder, so I should retain most of my length.

Im planing on just excersizing and taking my vitamins along with growths on the left side only hopefully everything catches up by june im really trying to stretch till then hopefully being Brastrap then but this hurdle is killing me

Good Thread. I'm shoulder length - the last time I checked was in my siggy (june or July). I've stretched my twists and I think I have another 4-6 inches to go. I'm hoping by the summer I'll be APL. I'm a lil disappointed because I injured my right arm and I haven't been able to do to much to my hair for almost two weeks and I haven't taken any of my supplements/viatimins (fish oil, biotin, folic acid) due to taking meds - didn't want to mix things. I'm hoping to back on my grind by next week - praying that I didn't suffer any setbacks.

I am back on my reggie that got me this far, I fell off for a lil bit because I found the day to day thing thats perfect for maint. but I want to keep growing so that i can get my sexy layers! As many of you know, I will NEVER cut bangs again! I swear i just dream about what i could do with my hair if I didn't have them! UGHHH!!!

The back of my hair is looking like a "pacman board". The left side is past apl, the middle is apl and the right is just. Spreadshirt measurements left=4, middle = 3 and right=1. I don't understand why it is sooo uneven. When assessing the ends that I can see, there are not really in bad shape. I am going to cut even which means I will not make apl this year. I am just taking my time to post in apl 09 challenge. My diet has change alot which maybe the culpit, but I have been consistant with vits for the last month.

Maybe 1 or 2 inches away in the back/nape, but my sides have a longer way to go. I'm hoping for full apl by March 2010. Consider all the things I have done to my hair, I am blessed to be at this point in my hair journey.

I have no idea because I (obviously, see siggy) need to grow out these ends. I could be "officially" APL by the end of the year, but I definitely wouldn't claim it. My plan is to grow a little past it, trim it back, and grow from there.

However... my new maxiglide should be here the 14th, and I don't think I'll be able to resist the urge. So... check my siggy for my end of the year update. HHG!

I just did a trim and now my hair is a bit shorter. Prior to my trim, the tip of my V was almost APL... Now its probably about 1 inch away. The rest of my hair is 2 -2.5 inches away from full APL.

I experienced a boost in growth this year, but now its seems my growth has slowed a but. I'm not complaining though because my hair super healthy now!
