When I hit waist I stop
I just stumbled on a review of these and I'm interested. I've been wanting pieces to add some length to my hair or make a massive bun without the long term commitment of a weave.

I wish you could get individual pieces though.

DD says she will big chop during Christmas break. I might get her these for a present

I LOVE this HHJ!!

Bump... anyone have any experiences with these?

I made a thread exactly about this not too long ago. Aside from the links in the blog from the site, there hasn't been any other testimonials. The consensus was that it will be more cost effective to make your own.

Kurly Klips is so efficient and expedient. The night I ordered she sent an email that said my order was processed. The next day she shipped my order. It arrived at my house on Saturday, but I wasn't there to receive it. I'll have to pick it up from the post office tomorrow.

Have them in the shoulder length variation. Didn't like them much: tangled and shed loads, too high maintenance! I was thinking well I might as well do my hair because I bought the Klips to give me & my hair a beak but that didn't happen:(
I've bought human hair extensions over the years so I'm good at evaluating quality and the Klips are average at best. For the price I expected a product that would not tangle so badly & shed (or do so minimally. Shedding in extensions is based on how well the wefts are sewn & sealed.)

On the plus side once it's washed and detangled it looks good...until it's time for the next detangling session: within a few days. I was super curious about getting them, it seemed a novel & cute idea but IMO it's not worth the cost. Would not purchase again.

I just got my kurly klips trimmed to blend in better with my natural hair. The stylist who trimmed my real hair didn't charge me extra to cut the extensions. In retrospect I should have gotten bobcat length. But they look really good cut and combed out. I'm really happy with them. Let's see how long before I get tension alopecia on these heavy things.

Here is a picture with them installed. I need to define my hair so it's not so big. But for what it's worth, how do you think it looks?

Bump.. I just ordered these in mermaid! The others were out of stock.. Ordered last night and they ship this morning.. Can't wait.

Why did you stop wearing them?

I never did wear them. My twist outs really did match the texture, but they were too heavy, and I could only get them to look natural by installing them loose hair. It was too much tugging and pulling.

I would never recommended anyone getting longer than bobcat length unless you have MBL hair or longer. And for most unstretched natural textures, the curly one is too loose, and with my baby fine, thin 3b hair they were a pain.

After watching/reading as many reviews as I could, I decided to purchase a set of these clip-ins. I ordered the "my fro" in "shoulder chic". I placed my order March 17 and received it on the 20th. I was *very* impressed with this! And, shipping was free. The hair is well-packaged in a sturdy box I intend to store my clips in when I'm not wearing them. It's clear that the hair has been freshly washed. It smells nice! At first, I was worried about how I would blend my hair in with the extensions. They resemble what would probably be considered 3C hair. My own hair is somewhere in the 4 type range. Small, tight coils that can look like ramen noodles if I'm not careful! However, brushing the extensions with a paddle brush made a huge difference! I did notice some shedding from the extensions, but honestly nothing alarming so far. I suppose time can only tell as far as this goes. One thing I kind of wish I had purchased the "bobcat" length. Sure, I was able to blend my hair with the "shoulder chic" with some tweaking. My hair stretched is just past collar-bone length, but it shrinks up to my jawline. Because of this, I have to lightly stretch my hair to help it blend. Not a big deal, but I can see it being annoying on those days I don't feel like doing much. All in all, I don't regret ordering these! Lately, I've been wearing synthetic half-wigs. I love them, but my styling options were a bit limited. I hesitated for a long time to invest the money in human hair clip-ins. I just couldn't justify it to myself. However, when I think about how much money I've spent searching for the perfect wig/half-wig I kind of want to kick myself. Oh! I did trim them to help blend it into my own hair. I did it myself because I feel very comfortable with hair shears. Which is a good thing since its my career. Lol!

ETA: The clips don't feel heavy to me, but I don't have previous experience with clip-in extensions. Just wanted to add that!

They are very convenient however I won't be purchasing. I would rather buy products that moisturized by very dry hair than wearing something that might rob moisture away from my hair. They look good though, kudos to those who wear them.:afro:

This is exactly my experience with them. I purchased the same set a year and a half ago and also wish I'd gone shorter, partly because I BC'd to ear length soon after. They look great though. I wore clip ins for about 6 months while I was transitioning before my last BC and ppl couldn't even tell it wasn't my hair.
