Ok ladies - I just wanted to give everyone here a standing ovation for all their hard work!:meme: Lately I've been getting alot of comments from people - not only people of color but white people as well. Just random white women come up to me and tell me how beautiful my hair is. A few weeks ago I attended a training and I was the only person of color there. I also had the longest and most well maintained head in there! I blanked out while waiting for a break and started looking around me. I realized that I wasn't envious of any of the women around me - at all. For all those threads saying "why is it so hard for us to have nice hair" or"why is it easier for them" I just wanted to reassure u that our efforts are appreciated. If no one has come up to u and complemented u, let me be the first - looking GOOD ladies!!!:notworthy

Congrats Rezgirl! You know that's a big complement if a white person said something. I didn't even think they noticed our hair :look: Do you have a fotki? Or pictures so we can see?

Not that technologically advanced as yet but I'm working on it. I'm bsl with a few layers here n there. I recently transitioned to jet black from mousy brown (which was covered by varying shades of red rinse)! My hair is very thick and I get heaps of compliments on that so, I wonder if that's just attractive to the masses.
