I leave it in for a short amount of time (like 2-5 minutes). The times that I have used it longer, it didn't seem effective or give me slip.

Um I didn't get slip either way, long or short time period or with/out heat.

I use my Kenra MC for just regular wash days where I just shampoo, rinse, towel blot, add the conditioner, put on shower cap, finish showering and then rinse before getting out of the tub. It's on my hair 5 min. max. I've never tried it as a deep conditioner...I pretty much save my cholesteral for that job. I may try and do a deep conditioning with it one of these days and see how it works.

I've noticed that a lot of conditioners work better for my hair when left on for 3 to 5 minutes (without heat).

Yes, I liked the Sustenance Fortifying. (you got my PM right?)
I was saying that I wish Avalon wasn't so snotty with their products and would retail more of them rather than just limiting consumers to Humecto

I've noticed that as well. I've also noticed that many of my conditioners work the same whether I leave them in for 5 minutes or 30......It makes it really hard for me to deep condition......

Supergirl,

You make me feel normal now. Sorry, you didn't achieve the same results with the Kenra as a deep conditioner. I have the Sustenance on my Xmas list. My stylist uses this after the Fiberguard relaxer and it is da bomb!

I was just thinking about this over the weekend and that maybe it's better to just follow the directions on the package of our hair care products as to how long it should be left on.

I haven't tried the Kenra MC but, from the raves I've heard about it, it has been on my mind. I was thinking this for myself with a couple of other products I have.

i agree with allandra, kenyana and others - i have better results when i leave it on for the recc'ed amt. of time. the only time i deviate is when i give myself protein treatments and then deep moisturizing treatments.
the pantene s&s and humectress work better when i leave them on for short amts. of time.

I read years agot that product aren't designed to be anymor effective if you leave them on longer then the recommended time. I usually leave it on the recommended time and it works great. If any conditioner gets left on longer then that it because I get sidetracked while i'm out of the shower.
