I'm glad they decided to sponsor us. With the way that we rave about so many things here, other companies need to get with the program. The rate at which we buy certain things, we're probably driving up those markets!!
Beverly, are you saying that other companies like Avlon (for Affirm and I think Keracare), Motions, Strength of Nature (for Profectiv products), ORS, etc. are flinching on sponsoring us? What about vitamin companies like Puritans Pride?

We all spend a ton of money on hair products. Plus, when we rave about a great product, another bunch of us will rush to try it out. There is absolutely no reason these companies should balk on supporting us. How many members do we have now, throughout the country and throughout the world??? How many of us are PJs? These companies don't realize they have a built-in audience for their products right here, and it doesn't take much for us to pull out our wallets for hair stuff.
I had no idea it was this difficult to get sponsors for our site, and it shouldn't be. That really offends me. Beverly, is there anything we can do to help out? I don't have a ton of time during the day but I'm willing to throw my hat in the ring to do what I can.

Yes you all can help, email or call the companies (if they have 1-800 numbers), and tell them how much you like there products, and how you hear about there products on this board. And if they are interested in sponsoring to click the contact us link on the home page, thank you kit kat! I could use the help. Oh and it wasn't just me trying, SVT tried too, and she couldn't get much of anywhere!

That is really sad they these companies don't realize what they're missing out on. It's funny that other non- African American sites seem to have no problems getting sponsors. This site is huge and growing everyday. But like you said Bev, we'll be okay.
I'm really glad Kemi decided to be a sponsor for us. Long ago I use to use the Kemi oil and I was very pleased with it. Their oil is awesome. I don't don't why I stopped using it. Probably just being a PJ

I use it now. And let me tell you with the exchange I paid about $25CAD for each bottle (I got 2-16oz)....so $50 in total.

Yes. I'm sooo excited. I clicked on the banner earlier today. I'm impressed that they have a shampoo (non-soap shampoo), especially because I wash almost everyday. This is good. I was wondering if anyone has any testimony on this product before I decide to purchase it.

Beverly, I think the sponsor thing is great. I hope we get more sponsors in the future...especially if it helps LHCF.

I've seen tons of Kemi knock offs over the years. However, I've never ran into any that smelled as good as the real Kemi.
note: I came across an imitation bottle of the product in a grocery store once. I'll go back to look for the name, but it's similar, something like KIMI OIL ..w/ a similar design. I wonder if KemiLabs knows about this??

do they sell kemi oyl at Sally's?
I've tried their shampoos and conditioners. They're wonderful. They leave your hair soft and managable. I bought the moyst shampoo formula. I always, always have their oil on hand. I just starting using their shea butter pomade along with some water on my ends, and lemme tell ya, my ends are no longer frizzy and brittle. It's wonderful!
