Keeping Synthetic Hair Pretty

I've been wearing brandy hair (sensationnel pro10), and for a few days after I put it in it feels soft to the touch. But after that, it starts to feel dry/crunchy. How do I keep it feeling soft? I've tried moisturizers, but once they dry they have no effect. (ION and something else... forget the name.)

It also has a semi-ratty look, not as bad as it can get but it's starting to look synthetic days after I put it in. Anything I'm doing wrong here?

African royale BRX african braid and extension spray. Spray on your hair and your scalp. It stops itchies and leaves your braids with a nice sheen.
Here are the ingredients- note that there is NO mineral oil and I don't see any cones anywhere. It also has Tea tree oil:
Deionized Water , Glycerin , Propylene Glycol , PPG-12-PEG-50 Lanolin , Dicetyldimonium Chloride , Polyquaternium 32 , Paraffinum Liquidum , Tea Tree Leaf Oil - Melaleuca Alternifolia , Polysorbate 80 , Oat Kernel Extract - Avena Sativa , Allantoin , Silk Amino Acids , Sheep Sorrell , Yarrow , Slippery Elm Bark , Sage , Henna , Comfrey , Burdock Root , Goldenseal , Cherry Bark , Ginseng , Black Walnut , Chamomile , Alfalfa , Hyssop , Wheat Germ , Methyl & Propyl Paraben , Fragrance.

ETA I used this when I had braids in and out pretty much for 16 months straight
ETA these ingredients look awesome, maybe I should start using this as a daily moisturizer...

Actually - there are mineral oil derivatives, and other names for mineral oil ( the bolded) in this................ I have used the Pro 10 hair - and I used a homemade spritz with water, rosemary tea, and glycerin.... That will be better.

Oooh. I have my Sensationnel IW and I haven't worn it yet, but when I plan to I need some help. Now the package says to use a mild shampoo then let it air dry. But my question is: which shampoo do I use? Could I use my Elucence on it?

Someone said something about washing synthetic wig/hair with fabric softener:yep:

Yes, if you check out the Wig Challenge Thread there is some advice for keeping synthetic hair nice and soft. Using some fabric softener while washing was a suggestion.
