KCCC Ain't For Everybody....(A Little Hair Porn)

But Knot Today is a really great leave-in!

So I used Kimmay's KCCC application method, which is a great method and very easy to do, but mine came out like the "dreaded jheri curl"

More than likely it's as a result of my curl pattern because it definitely did freeze my curl pattern. Literally FREEZE...after my hair dried there was no movement.

So after showing my friend (who loves KCCC & Knot Today) via Skype, who laughed at my hair, I washed it out and went to an old reliable and predictable hair style...Curly Nikki's Twist-N-Curl.

I completed this using about 15 big twists. Knot Today & Lottabody setting lotion were the only products used while my hair was wet. I twisted my hair about half the length and rolled the ends in perming rods in a spiraled manner (very similar to how I do my Braid N' Curl). After untwisting, I separated each clump of hair into 2-3 sections to make it full. My hair was super big and very soft! Just how I like it and it lasted about 5 days. This style took about 2.5 hours from washing out KCCC, sitting under the dryer and finally untwisting. I moisturized with a little more Knot Today, just before taking these pics.

looks nice. yeah i tried the KCCC alone and my hair looked the exact same as yours. This odd, stiff, jheri curl thing. My friends liked it, but I didn't so I rinsed it out, put a little in (cause I spent money on it and damn it, i need to use it up) and did a twist out with my shea butter mix. turned out way better

I love the twist and curl and I like the KCCC style a lot too but I would be bother by frozen hair so I understand.

Yea. I'm guess that's what it was. I was very careful in not applying too much (from MsHeatherNicole's precaution), but I still looked like a stiff jherri curl mess.

But I lover the Knot Today.

that stuff "curly kits" up on me too. i have a half bottle of it left from last year under the sink. tried to use it again the other day and my hair just does not like it. but i loooovvveeee knot today though!

I'm with you on that! KCCC was the worse investment I've done for my hair. The result was dry hard hair. At first, I thought I was using too much product, but I got the same result when I used only a nickel size on my whole head, and it was diluted with water before application. I still have the whole jar dusting in my bathroom...

Im definitely not one that hold on to products that dont work for me. I promptly returned that bad boy to whole foods.
