My hair regimen, at least to me, is pretty simple but the products I use isn't. I use different things for whatever I feel I need. I basically go with the flow and listen to my hair. My hair can be either dry one day, over moisturized another, dry and hard another week, or moisturized and hard the next week. The changes don't happen to often, but I do things accordingly. I also do honey treatments, hot oil treatments, and preepoos as needed. My hair regimen is simpler during the winter/fall then during the spring/summer. I do lots of co-washes during the spring/summer. And I do a lot less during the winter. More roller-sets and bunning during the fall/winter. More twist outs/braid outs during the spring/summer. And I don't have set days when I wash. Especially since sometimes I just don't have the time. I usually try and do my washes after a certain amount of days during the summer, and 1-2X a week during the winter. I always DC after every wash. I believe I have to where I live, because it is soooo dry. And I do a steam treatment every week. Like now, I am doing more garlic treatments because of winter and postpartum shedding. So going with the flow has worked for me. :yep:

I try to keep it simple, but lord knows, my simple is probably someone else's
ball of confusion. It takes a long time to sort, and figure things out. I'm still searching...

simple my hair thrives when it is left alone and heavily moisturized----

i understand that my hair needs a protein treatment once a month and the other 3 weeks its fine with deep conditioning and pure oil as in avocado or olive--i dont even trim my hair that often and it grows and grows-
im anal about hairlines esp mine--if u have a jacked up hairline--it makes ur beautiful head of hair look horrid--my hair line grows with a dab of olive oil daily--and i rub my temples to stimulate the blood in that area for follicle stimulation--ppl have to really understand what and how their hair stays healthy

no mineral oil products for me at all---my hair does not thrive with mineral oil of any kind---i texlax whenever i see fit--which maybe every 4-6 months--
i keep my products simple as well-pantene, infusium 23, glycerin and mizani butterblends--and oil---i do need to add a heat protectant but i dont use heat o my hair like that

everytime i deviate from my KISS my hair looks at e liek wtf r u doin to me--lmao

My regimen is very simple. I don't know about other's regimen, but I do wonder are the ladies being honest and how do they keep up with so much details. Sometimes when I read people's regimen and all the different products they use I would think to myself and say they can't be serious.

For both products and manipulation, the less I do to my hair the better. My regimen isn't going to change, but I do experiment with products every now and then.

Old thread but I've been thinking about this lately when browsing through the forum.
Some ladies on here have some super elaborate regimens. I have to laugh at some of them because they involve so many different concuctions, mixtures, oils. Idk, to each his own.

I feel my hair does best with regular shampooing, conditiong, and detangling. Also keeping my hair stretched, moisturized, and ends periodically dusted. Other then that, not too much else.

I do alternate products now based on moisture/protein needs.

I straighten periodically or rollerset.

I also take a daily multi vitamin
