K.I.S.S all the way! I am still tweaking my regimen but I find that the more simple I keep my reggie the better my hair responds.

I guess I'm KISS until I want to try something different when I get bored, e.g bentonite, henna, amla..

Otherwise its just cowash, moisturise and seal then puff/bun or twist...detangle once a week with condish..shampoo when there's build up and acv to help porosity now and then.. my products change constantly

I did a whole lot more when I was transitioning but I thought it was necessary then.

I like to keep it simple as I'm pretty lazy and don't have the time. I do the same thing every week. I cowash everyday or every other day, use a leave-in, castor oil, gel, conditioner or whatever styling product I have around. I shampoo whenever I feel the need and acv rinse once a week. Once a month I do an amla treatment.

I used to think mine was simple but I guess it isn't when I can't even be bothered to get up and do it sometimes lol

sometimes i oil my hair before i shampoo once a week (fri)
I do some form of henna treatment once a week (fri)
I deep condition and detangle once a week (sat)
i've started leaving some conditioner in and seal with castor oil and drying in 6 braids
i co-wash and redo these six braids a few times a week
through the week i pin the braids up or rock a braidout.

I've never had a long reggie with an assortment of products. Therefore, I can't say if that wouldn't work for me.

I have a K.I.S.S regimen because I find I can get away with not doing extra to keep my hair in good condition and I'm pretty lazy. Admittedly, my reggie is not as simple as it was when I first BC'd though but it's still pretty easy. I believe so long as one has the basics down (don't abuse heat, regular detangling etc) and they know how to address issue like dryness etc, then their hair will do fine so long as they're consistent with whatever reggie they're on.

Unfortunately, if my hair isn't in braids a KISS regimen won't work. I HAVE to moisturize, seal, DC with protein, do tea rinses, etc. If I don't my hair breaks off something fierce. However, when my hair is in braids it grows like a tropical weed on steroids. I think it's because I keep a similar regimen, but work out and CO wash more often.

Hmmmm???

well im still fairly new into my HHJ so i have some repairing to do still.. I try to do as few step as possible, but there is still some experimentation on my part.. which protein responds best, which DC is best, which rinse out con works best.. so far my only staples are elasta qp poo (sulfate free) ors olive oil lotion, suave (insert flavor here) for cowashes, and my leav-in/glycerine/water mix... right now im still trying to find the best DC for My hair...

I'd like to think my regimen is KISS. I shampoo, DC and rollerset once a week. I also moisturize and seal nightly.

Mine has gotten EXTREMELY simple over the past year due to my busy schedule. Right now I just wash with WEN use some as a leave in and style with a gel (either in a low pony puff or diffuse dry and wear loose). If I want a deep treatment, I overnight with EVOO. That's pretty much it these days. My hair is actually doing very well keeping it simple like this.

I have been KISSing for the last 11 years. No pooing and twists, repeat every 3-4 weeks. No spritzing, oiling, etc in between or nothing. Can't be any easier than that.

I never had a complicated regime or used a lot of products, the only thing I may switch is conditioners every so often.

my regimen:
weekly wash with CON(sulfate free)
DC with 1 of these( SuaveHumectant, Silk Element luxury moisturizing or ORS pak)
moisturize with scurl seal with JBCO
**Clarify monthly, protein cond every 2wks
I either put my hair in a phony bun, half wig or blow dry flat iron

I voted other, because I do a few different things to my hair, but I am working towards a simplier regimen. My fear is that doing too much may cause a set back for me.

I think K.I.S.S works best for me too because it is much easier to stick to.

For me k.i.s.s means:

easy routine
less products
fewer times per week/month of doing the routine
Less time to do the routine

My weekly regi is:

Prepoo with a mild protein/oil
Shampoo
Deep condition
Moisturize
Rollerset/blowdry

Every night:
Moisturize and big braids

Now this my be too complicated and too much mani pulation for some.

Based on what I did in the beginning and what I do now it is most definitely KISS for me.

Protective styling and keeping the ends and edges moisturized the the am and pm.

Simplicity works best for me. I clarify, dc, and moisturize every 2 weeks, and trim as needed.

I dont know yet. I thiny my routine is more complicated from before I started my HJ, but my hair is doing better. But before, I wasn't really doing much of anything.

I wash once a week.
Co-wash once or twice a week. I try to make one of the CWs a DC
Moisturize and seal daily
Sometimes I prepoo
I either wear my hair in a bun or in 2 braids under a wig

As far as products, I'm still in an experimental semi-PJ stage so I like to try different things, but I'm slowing down.

K.I.S.S----although the PJ in me whats to try every dang thing that I see :->

But right now I am SOOO low mani with my natural--wash once a week, grease scalp, cornrow and wig for the week...that is it. Roxxy seems to like it and I am lazy so I think I will stick with this for the rest of the year.

I'm not sure if my regimen is simple or not

I've adjusted my regi slightly for the winter season:-

1 x weekly protein treatment followed by moisture
1 x rollerset
1 x co wash and moisture DC

Moisturise and oil ends when needed

I want to fit in regular hot oil treatments, but I've not quite found the time yet, I may have to try and do during the weekend some time.

It doesn't feel like a do a lot but it might seem like it to some.

It depends on what my hair needs. I can tell by feel. Sometimes it's VERY simple and other times complicated. Neither extreme would work for me all the time. Too much simplicity and I get tangles....too much complexity and I get product buildup. The way I do it, I try to avoid both situations, but I do things on an "as needed" basis.

My hair got thin at the ends when I was doing too much to it and washing 2-3 times a week and you all know how I love thick hair from root to ends so that had to stop. So now, the less I mess about with it the better. It's thicker from washing and Dcing 1x every week or two (depends on how lazy I feel and how much product buildup I have), moisturising daily and wearing in a PS all the time. I comb like 2-3x a week now. As long as you are seeing good results from your regimen then I would say stick with it. It's being consistent with whatever works that brings long term results and prevents setbacks.

K.I.S.S. all the way...I'm going to give away all my excess products in 2010 and buy a PIBBs. I'm committing to a simple rollersetting regimen from now on, with protective styling when needed.

right now, i have no choice but to K.I.S.S. it's my freshman year of undergrad, i've got a GPA to maintain, i'm in a musical and i have no time for my hair.

I honestly think it really depends on the individual. For me, K.I.S.S yields the best results as I’m able to remain consistent with this kind of regimen (due to laziness).

My below regimen is simple for me to do and works well (currently transitioning to natural in braids);

- Moisturize with Qhemet Biologics’s Olive & Honey Hydrating Balm & Qhemet Biologics’s Burdock Root Butter Cream, seal with Black Jamaican castor & Jojoba oil (every day).

-Once a week; Pre-poo, wash with a shampoo bar, steam DC for 40min-1 hours, final rinse with ACV and apply Oyin Honey-Hemp Conditioner as a leave-in then seal with oil.

- I use Joico K-pak Liquid Reconstructor when I feel the need and clarify in the same manner.

This is my regimen. I was wondering if this was too much but it works. My prepoo changes every week though. Its either protein, coconut milk & lime, or ayuveda powder glaze.

In the summer I was air drying and wearing a bun now that it is cooler I am trying roller setting. We will see how long that last.

KISS all the way!
Weave for protective style
Lacio Lacio for every 2-3 day moisturizer
CON (green/white) for poo
AO HSR for deep moisturizing conditioner
Apoghee for protein (only on take downs)
Jojoba oil (mixed w/peppermint, lavendar, tree tree) for scalp...

On takedowns I use Silicon Mix for detangling...
