June 2013..What Did YOU Buy This Week??(Hair Care Edition)

Silk Dreams Go Moist Shampoo

I got it in the exchange forum from.... I LOVE the stuff. Unfortunately I won't be using it until the ends of July...and thats after I finished my current bottle. But when it runs out, I have a backup...SCORE:happydance:!

How would you compare the Silk Dreams Go Moist Shampoo to Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo? I know you used to love that one .. I still love it though sometimes I feel that it's so gentle I need to clarify beforehand....I notice the Go Moist has Wheat Protein in it, while the Creme Conditioning is protein-free ...

I purchased some things from the CC's Naturals 20% Father' Day Sale ..

1x Hibiscus Leave-in (Lemon Poundcake Scent)
1x Peppermint Leave-in (Chocolate Scent)

I hope I like them ... anybody else use these products?

Suave Moroccan Infusion Shine Conditioner to cowash with. I also bought some Murrays pomade for my son's hair but I have been using It on myself too to slick my edges down.

@NappyRina

The only real difference between the two is one has a sulfate and one does not. I've also notice that the Go Moist works best for me prior to a reconstructive treatment. It has carboxylic acid, so protein seems to bind to the hair shaft better. My hair adores protein, so it benefits me greatly. However, I know your hair and protein don't get down like that, so the Elasta QP might be the way to go for you.

Joie Naturals My Gel to control my edges while wearing my bunned styles. Same consistency as most edge control type products and gels like Jam or Elasta QP Glaze, but made with natural, scalp stimulating ingredients.

Also i bought a pack of 10 Mesh Rollers, i think i'm gonna like these better than the magnetic snap on ones i bought on Sunday. I just need to figure out how to put them in with the setting pins.

ordered Gleau Oil. Hope i like it like you girls do

Does anyone have the Hair Therapy Wrap, any cons?

I do, no cons from me. Just make sure you don't over heat it. I heat for 30 seconds at a time for a total of 90 seconds, with 10 second interval. It stays hot/warm for 20-25 mns. Then i let it stay on to keep the warmth in for about 15 minutes.
The new design is very stable. I can walk around and do stuff around the house. The only really con, if you can call it that is that mines is white so i have to remove the gel packs to wash it every now and then. Sometimes the conditioner does get on the back part. I just throw it in with my satin caps, and scarfs no big deal.
Although i have a back up, i have been using this one for a little over 6 months.

I did not buy these. They were gifts from a very thoughtful :thought:, and funny  friend

Nubian Heritage EVOO & Moringa Repair and Extend Hair Butter
Nubian Heritage Honey and Black Seed HEAT protect Leave In Conditioning Cream

gbunnie Hey there I tried the Nioxin Thermal bliss protector and I love it. It detangled my hair with ease and give me so much body when I blew it dry. The only thing that I didn't like is it doesn't give my hair much shine so I will use very touch of serum when I put in my flexirods tonight.

1x- 16 oz. DB Pumpkin Seed Condish- Decided to try this again based off the rave reviews its been getting lately. I have about 4 oz. left in my old bottle and I will use it today instead of the NG Orange and Hibiscus. I will be shampooing so I'll be able to get a better feel for it.

Had this removed from my order. Its just not for me. Had a bit of slip, but thats about it. Def. a miss :(.

I washed with elucence moisture acidifying shampoo, and then left the pumpkin on for 30 minutes and it was great. Loving the shampoo by the way. Your rave worked for me, sorry mine didn't work for you.

Linange Lye Relaxer-----The BESTTTT damn relaxer experience I've EVER had using lye. It was getting to the point where if this didn't work I was switching back to no lye. It's unbelievable how straight it got my hair with NO burning or irritation at all. BTW, I self relaxed.
