I am still doing the challenge too. Whenever I think I need to get something because it is a great deal, I clean out my stash, and I realize how much i really have, and I lose my urge to buy.
Just checking to see how everyone's doing on the July Challenge...as you all know...I slipped up twice...once with the Fantansia Ice Pomade...but I took it back.
Then again with the LeKair Cholesterol $2.99...I got it because my hair buddy recommended it for the current hair challenges I was having...Thanks, DSD!!!!
I also bought a phonytail, but protective styling is exempt from the July Challenge.
Otherwise...I haven't purchased anything else...not even replenished hair products...so all I've spent on hair products this month is $2.99...YAY!!!
Ok, so you've heard all my excuses...how's everyone else doing????
I have been pretty good so far with the challenege, I walk down the hair care aisles and look but I dont buy, I have been creating a list of all the products I want to buy though, so far there are 5 things on it..lol
I really want to try a new setting lotion for when I do rollersets but I will wait until August until I get something because I still have some infusium, a full bottle of lottabody setting lotion and the creme lottabody setting lotion
I am doing well, and I still haven't bought anything. Like I said, I just organize all my hair stuff, and see what I really have, and then I realize i don't need to spend money. I have also found most of my staples, so I don't have to keep buying things. I have my staple moisturizing conditioner, deep conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and hair oils. the only thing I haven't decided on it my protein conditioner, and shampoo. Oh and I want a shower filter one day. I am pretty happy and proud of myself.
I lost the challenge, however, I will try again in another challenge. What is that old saying. If you fall off the horse just get back on. I'll tell you what I purchased (I know bad girl). I brought the Africa's Best Cholesterol tea tree oil conditioner. Jason's natural jojoba oil conditioner and a curly phony tail. My hair just loves conditioners. I know I'm going to get a spanking however, please spare the rod. My hair loves these two conditioners.
I bought Aussie Natural gel (so far so good, no crunchies)
-Rusk Sensories Hibiscus & Kukui Foaming Detangler
-Bain De Terre Marithyme Moisture Rich Conditioner
-Matrix Moisture Mist
and Suave Awaphui and Humectant conditioners
The jojoba oil conditioner that I brought it works really well, however, it has more proteins in it then jojoba oil. So I'm going to use this as a protein conditioner instead of using for a mositurzing condition wash.
